I love the etherial opening of the song, where Madonna sings the chorus in a very haunting manner. However, I prefer the original album version over the rest of the song, I think if she had found a way to combine this opening with the album version it would be perhaps my favourite Madonna song. :)

i really like both versions this one is sadder, but the meaning is more poignant just like in the demo for "no substitute for love", the meaning is more straightforward than the "drowned world/substitute for love" song

Song does not sound bad, but you can tell it's a demo. The instrummental parts don't fit one to another, so doesn't the lyrics. It Sounds unfinished. And Patrick Leonard gave the final song a more interesting intro; and there's also a point: the lyrics printed on the booklet... say "Walk away" before the chorus... and I always wondered why... 'cause they printed the lyrics of the demo, not the final ones. But anyway, it's worth listening, and thanks for posting-.
