my Dad taped this from the TV when it first aired. watched it a hell of a lot when i was small (i'd have been 3 when this was recorded). just, great! and ace to see it appearing on YouTube. have been fortunate enough to meet Albert on a number of occasions and his down to earth nature is something i admire even more than his phenomenal guitar playing (which i've been a huge fan of for as long as i can remember)
Albert Lee is a master of his craft and highly underrated, never grabs the spotlight, pops up playing with many artists, I get the impression he'd play with anyone who thinks they might be able to keep up but the next time you see him he is just one of the band.
Ms. Lee. I met your Dad on a country road in Crugybar in Wales in 1971 when I was sixteen or seventeen. He was kind and polite then too. Your dad is inspirational.
I love this song, and I love when my dad sings it. He is a very down to earth person, probably the most humble and shy guitar virtuoso I have ever met. I am blessed to have him as a father and as an inspiration.
Here Albert demonstrates what a songbird he is...Not only is he perhaps the best picker guitarist on the planet as most who see him perform claim (as do many top guitarists including Eric Clapton and Vince Gill) but the man has great pipes too.

Pretty good rendition of a Hoyt Axton classic, which happens to be my favorite Hoyt Axton Song.
Thanks for posting.
Take care and God Bless,
