This(taxman) is actually the first Stevie Ray Vaughan song I ever heard. My mom had his greatest hits cd, and I listened to it on a whim, and this was number one on the cd. Loved SRV ever since.

listening to both versions back to back they almost sound totally different Stevie's version just seems so raw and more mean than the beatles version. but they are still both great
