  • They shoot missles at subs? Doesn't seem very effective to me?

  • If the ship (surface) made contact at a 1000 yards... They would have been dead.

  • nfgjrtjkis ert346g rytr

  • These motherfucker are killing a lot of dolphins, whales and fish.

  • @MrElmataviejas yes you right

  • @MrElmataviejas Yummy!

  • LOHI

  • Music cheesy. Save for karaoke night.

  • fake, so near your have been shut down by the sumarine

  • cool

  • Norsk-utviklet system?

  • Hedghogs

  • Submarines vs Targets Submarines win every time.

  • @robcole24 This video suggests that a lone wolf submarine is detected by a task force of patrol craft, presumably in the Baltic or in some other restricted water near a navy base. The submarine is as good as dead, and the only question is how many patrol craft she’ll be able to take down with her.

  • @robcole24 not true

  • هذه عمليه اصطياد غواصه روسيه من القوات الامريكيه

  • Inspite of my first comment, it strikes me that the anti-submarine rocket is very effective. But the sub in the video is obviously one meant for the scrapyard, that's why it is expendable. A real enemy sub would be very much harder to detect and destroy. It can vary its depth and course very quickly.

  • You think it's that easy to sink a moving, submerged submarine. It is not.

  • @pxy24x28 only if surface ships weren't so noisy could you get one. the only way you could possibly get close to getting a submarine is if you are dead in the water

  • Ништяк рыбалка

  • If a contact gets within 1000 yards, your ship is already dead.

  • @stalkingalizee Don’t worry. This video is an obviously bogus piece of disinformation. This is not how this type of engagement goes. A submarine that becomes detected by any means, is in big-big trouble.

  • :D

  • UltimaSRi thank you very much.

  • As written. This ship was really old and did her service during the Cold War.

    >Google KNM Fridtjof Nansen to get a peek at the new class :)

  • hey motherfucker, there where a dolphin gang passing through there...

  • im sorry to hear about bomb and gun attack in Norway recently..

regard from Malaysia..our navy recently had announced to buy NSM maybe could help boosting your economy back where it should be

  • So they detected the sub at 1,000 yards...nice job, except the sub killed you while it was still 5,000 yards out.

  • do they always lay down where they stand?

  • Why norwegians speak english?

  • @billslusser What the fuck are you even talking bout? Irrelevant to the Video and straight out racist and stereotypical

  • Those Rockets look like Chinese Fire works on New Yrs Eve Night.

  • very realistic wow. wonder how they did it when it was on air. lol this is stupid.

when the submarine got hitted, ur still filming it? great.

  • WATH MEE TWO WEBE BOW.

  • I pity anyone below deck or in a sub That Explosion would be SUPER LOUD,

  • red october!!!!!!!!!

  • So who were the good guys?

  • i like this song

  • Number one: Nuclear weapons are evidence of human insanity. Number two: This is why your pension is being reduced.

  • @calamagrostis88

Is insanity not a creation of humans in itself?

  • @NeutralExistence chaos is a creation of nature and leads to insanity

  • @NeutralExistence No I don't think that insanity is a creation of humans, it is just an unfortunate byproduct of how complex our brains are and how often that complexity can break down into disfunction. We can speculate that there is a natural instinct to protect your family and tribe, this is corrupted into a desire to destroy other tribes and take their resources, which has lead to the insanity of nuclear weapons.

  • @calamagrostis88

Well what was insanity before humans came along then?

We created the idea of insanity, and its just our perception of "irregular" brain activity in other humans. I would doubt that other creatures would have the same perception of "insanity" that we do, and in fact I believe that no humans have the same idea of "insanity" at all. Some of the most brilliant mathematicians have been considered slightly "insane". Clearly some people would not agree with this idea of insane.

  • @NeutralExistence Other animals can display erratic behavior that endangers themselves and others, but humans take it to a new level. It is difficult to define exactly what it is, because by clinical definitions most of the people who build the nuclear weapons and the citizens who support them are completely sane. It seems like when the whole society becomes insane then that reality becomes the new definition of sanity.

  • 中国海軍を攻撃してくれ

  • Norwegian navy? Don't make me laugh....

  • by the time they fire these shells the sub had time to fire 10 torpedos and destroy them 10 times?

  • @Mendelevium146 Wrong, Retard.

  • @TheBFGHarrison lol what? 1 guided torpedo is all it takes to take down a ship. My thinking was that if the sub got that close to the ship, that is the range of this weapon, then they were in torpedo range for a while by then. Explain with words and logic your point please, I can't understand you

  • @Mendelevium146 IF YOUR UNEDUCATED COMMENT WAS EVEN HALF ASSED ACCURATE THOSE WEAPONS ON THE SHIP WOULDN'T EXIST..... THEY ARE THERE BECAUSE THEY WORK.

  • @greywolf424 maybe, but my point of view and your rage are based on an assumption, whereas my point of view is based on facts and logic

  • @Mendelevium146 The logic and FACTS are those weapons are mounted on those ships BECAUSE THEY ARE EFFECTIVE.

  • @Mendelevium146 Do you even know what they are launching?

  • @greywolf424 not really, you?

  • @Mendelevium146 They are called ASROC "AntiSubmarine Rockets" and they are deadly.

  • @greywolf424 nope, they are called Terne ASW

  • @heuhen True, but it is based on the American ASROC design.

  • @heuhen Are you the dude I think you are, from over at SB?

  • @samolet900 yes

  • @heuhen Cool. I'm also over at SB as Wikipedia and Universe. We've bumped into each other from time to time.

  • @greywolf424 greywolf calm down. first your right those weapons are the effective. second they are not effective against all tactics used by the best russian subs. first of all for starters a sub has a advantage detecting a surface ship most time long before a surface ship detects a sub. especially the deeper and farther away the sub is from the vessel. 3rd russian sub torpedo technology is awesome a can effectively disable a large vessel with one hit. u owe mendelevium a apologie

  • @Mendelevium146 Yes, but that's why these are escort ships. Usually smaller ships like this would be guarding much higher priority targets that the sub would be going after first. These ships make a perimeter around the high value target to try and detect the submarine before it gets into firing range of the high value target. Or at least that's what most navies do, anyway.

  • Guys, im doing some research and watching this video concludes that redneckims in USA cames from Norwegian immigrants. No one tell their navy that subs now can fire missiles at 120 kilometers USA, 180 kilometers Russies.

  • Looks good but are we ready for the ruskies

  • @robinpollock Ruskies as in Russia? Of course, the once powerful USSR is no more. Russia can't keep up with the US, that's why their latest tanks and fighters are in "Low production", Russia isn't what it use to be.

  • depth charge from hell

  • Hey Das Boot scene 1:07 t/m 1:12

  • submarine > destroyer

  • wow the guy running the switchboard acts like a schmuck.. "yesss" what a looser. Glad my country's independance isn't in his nerdy hands.

  • yeahhhh we did fuck yeahhhh

  • South Korea needs this!

  • ni fishies were hurt in the filming of this demonstation ^_^ lolz.

  • Americans and British are heroes on top of the weak. face of russia are GAYS and SHEMALE. you're out there in Iraq and the Russians in america fucking his wife and daughter. ha ha ha. idiots.

  • "Why the hell is he using AntiSubs against the air? OMFG FLYING SUBS!" (joking for those who don't understand!)

  • the music sounds like something off from Metal Gear.

  • Operation Direct-you'reabitch.

  • One of those first submarine clips was from the hunt for red october

  • epic film

  • @legojoe12345 awesome movie i watched it westerday...

  • @djkapalof I know its one of my favorites!

  • The Terne Mk.3 anti-submarine rocket. Very old school.

  • @WinchesterRanger Not a Rocket, a torpedo. The MK3 had a 459 pound warhead, and a cruise speed of 2o knots, and a attack speed of just under 34 knots.

  • @mcsnowman11 No it's a rocket propelled depth charge. An entire missile only weighed 135kg, with the warhead composing just 50kg of that weight. Once launched there was no additional propulsion, it simply falls into the water and detonates at a preset depth.

  • @WinchesterRanger Sorry i was thinking of the mk48 for some reason... anyway i know those fact are correct.

  • i will only say it if you guys ain't gona try take over the world!

  • Ye best at losing wars. Oh no he didnt.

  • and i totaly agree with reuven2007.

  • "Yes where scared of Japan, 9/11 was fake, you know that and don't say no. "

clapclap, you're member of retarded&co. End of discussion.

  • GOOD JOB MAN!! ^ ^

  • Yaep, they it is class have missed!!!

The Alpha has left from impact -___-

  • looks like a Katjoesja setup

  • wouldn't mind a go of his warhead!

    great multiple shots.

  • War is for idiots who can't find a peaceful solution.

  • Yes because there is a peaceful solution for everything.

    MORON.

  • Of course there is a peaceful solution for everything. But there is a cost for every decision made. An oppurtinity cost. Most wars are based on greed and unlimitted needs. Competition for limitted resources. But a smart and wise person knows how to prolongue his life and live a peaceful and healthy life.

You on the other hand seem to be a closedminded person who fights for any reason. Fighting should only be used as a means for selfdefense and when all diplomatic negotiations fail.

    THINK 4 ONCE

  • @ashthegreat The opposite of peace is slavery.

  • @ashthegreat was it possible to find a peaceful solution when hitler invaded europe? war was not for idiots, declaring war was the only hope the allies had for the free life we live today. unfortunate, yes but it only occurs when the rouge nations threaten the peaceful.

  • WW2 was a very different story than now. Now only political animals are running your country, fool.

  • peace out hippie go smoke some bongs

  • 9/11 was the end of peace for americans. if that never happened we wouldnt be fighting.

for those who take peace diserve none. maybe some day you will realize that sometimes their is no peaceful solution, i wish their was but that reality, and you have to face it someday. so stop cowaring and do something

  • You need to learn the truth about 9/11.

  • @ashthegreat :You think Russia lives the truth? The mafia who are ex-kgb? Most Russians are very poor because of Russian corruption, so please tell me who lives a lie?

  • i think you do

  • @4everUSNavy for those who take peace diserve none.

    100% correct^

  • mhuahha sweden no 1 dear to invad us becues we got the best sea warfare units in the whole world beat that losers

  • lol, your navy has just some under armed corvettes and some auxilary vessels, from 1970. BTW, why would anyone invade Sweden? Do you know a possible country? At least I don't, so then i wonder, how YOU can know noone dared to invade Sweden..

  • Or Sweden just isn't that important.

  • Seden has nothing on the USA when it come the Pure naval fire power. Sweden has no true veterans cause they Nutral country. america would slaughter Sweden. But it want happen cause you are a Pussy nation.

  • spell should be your best friemd

  • is perfect for fishing but not for subs.

  • BOOM ahhahaha

  • ты кто такой mixxmexx бамжара!

  • not impressed

  • Me neither. A modern sub can use sattelliites and pass off ability to track and engage surface craft from as far away as 600+ miles using missiles such as the tomahawk cruise missile. The modern torpedo can engage a target from as much as 40 miles away. If these guys were right on top of a sub, the sub would probably be out of ammo and already did its mission.

  • mixxmexx fucker!

    mixxmexx пидарас!

  • cute

  • why not strap some c4 to sea creatures and make suicide dolphins or sea turtles

  • @101andrewj: I know the US military uses dolphins with clamps to get enemy divers away from their boats. I'm not so cool with the whole kamikaze dolphin/sea turtle thing though.

  • PETA would send hate mail and we don't want our inbox full

  • hey i think it doesnt metter which subs are the best Russian or British or USA. All are good and better than North Korean subs )))

  • Comment removed

  • realy?

  • Russia has the best subs.

  • hahahahahahah, YEAH!! if you guys could keep them in good enough shape and have enough money to get them underway!! ahhahaha. worthless freakin subs ahahahha

  • Russian subs are good, what are you talking about. Want to see them in action, destroying your countries subs.

  • memba kursk?

  • America has got the best, fact. we can sit in shallow waters just inches of the bottom, for up to 3 months and you not know we was there.

american subs, have the best torpedoes, Mk-48's. best Missiles Tomahawks. Remember who was winning the weapons race in the cold war. americans.

Uss Ohio, can carry 24*nuclear missiles and each one is 4*times more powerful than both Hiroshima and Nagisaki bombs combined.

i would say that enough to take out moscow

  • what weapon race during cold war. Many of your technology was stolen from the USSR. And also what makes you think that Russian radar wont see your subs. Also you wont get near Moscow, nobody ever did, and does times Russia was not ready, now send one jet into Russian boarder you will see Washington in flames. US cant fight wars, so scared of Japan had to lunch a nuke. And take 9/11 like the end of the world, its an inside job. No terrorist done it. Jest lies about it.

  • you think you now anything about ww2. we launched nukes at them cause we hated them, and ddidnt see the need to waste 1 million soldiers invadeing them.

and your country didnt even fight japan.

plus you cant see submarines with radars, you use sonars.. oh and stop smokeing pot, 9/11 was terrorism. face the facts it wasnt an inside job.

  • You think you know everything, Russian radar can see more things then you can imagine. Nice B2 bomber, we can see that. Yes where scared of Japan, 9/11 was fake, you know that and don't say no.

  • @alexvasilenko14 :Japan lost all of their navy which was destroyed by the U.S. Navy. Secondly the U.S. kicked Japanesse armed forces from most of the pacific rim, so why lose more soldiers to Japan? Japan was surrounded and had no Navy or air force to defend it;'s self. It would have been a massive massacre if the U.S. invade because millions would had died. Also we can say that all the bombings in Russia by muslims or chechens were fake?

  • @alexvasilenko14 Alot of the technology was developed by nazi scientists brought over after ww2 also.

  • @alex vasilenko 14 What tech did the US steal from the USSR. DO you know anything about how hard intelligence gathering is especially in a closed society like the USSR. Russia has no ABM so we could land a nuke in the men's room of the Kremlin (quote Goldberg). The U2 use to fly over Russian territory w/o a problem. Russia stole A Bomb, b29, sidewinder US sub propeller design and much more. when did we "lunch" a nuke at Japan. maybe we will dinner Iran.

    take it light

  • North-americans was good in movies, only that......see when something happens in their homeland....arrogant fools

  • russia doesn't even have good toilettepaper - too advanced to make for them

  • that comment is jest immature. US does not even have good "oil" bam! that is true.

  • @mixxmexx: Are you seriously saying that the first country to put a man in space is no advanced enough? That's weak

  • well u failed to put a man on the moon - you failed to suppress eastern europe - your country today is to corrupt to make even toilette paper without bribes

  • wow man w put a man, in the moon. not first. but first a satellite in space, man in space. and we are not corrupt, the US media is corrupt, US government pay CNN and other to tell what they want, and everything you know probably came from CNN. so your brain washed, u don't know nothing about my country, i know about yours I lived in US and Russia. at least not an immature comment, nice comment.

  • the US government doesnt pay CNN, Advertisers pay CNN what to show; War just brings in a lot of viewers upping the income CNN makes off advertisements, as is the case with any major news network. The news is just the filler for the commercials. Advertisers, because they supply the income for networks, in turn have say on what the networks air; if the advertisers don't like what they see they posses the power to pull the content and or edit/cut down the content.

    Go to school.

  • @PhilDesigns lol am in school they don't teach that. Stupid.

  • well i'm in college for media-related programs and we learned this on day one.

  • still in grade school.

  • this vid, and the message it sends, is misleading. Surface fleets are a thing of the past. Trying to deny that is like pissing into the wind.

Submersibles are king in this era.

  • This is no message other than "old ship with young crew having fun". A 45year old corvette is no match against modern subs.

  • i shit on norway

  • wonder were you are from??!

  • planet Stalin perhaps?

  • and you are a russian general??

  • They were like ''zomg yes! they work like wow!''

  • these things are cool, originally developed in ww2 they were called "hedgehogs"

  • Wrong, these are ternis asw rocket depthcharges.

    Hedgedogs is completely differend.

  • ohh ok

  • @FutureMarine246 And you a fur coat put on. And that the poor has frozen;)))

  • what? i dont get it

  • What boring interlocutor has got; (((

  • mmm still dont get it, sorry

  • what is 47828... saying? Is he telling you that you are cold and need a fur coat?Is he saying that you are lost?whatever.

I understand why you thought this weapon system was a hedgehog weapon system. It is a forward/side throwing launch design. Its a multi-warhead circular deployment pattern w/ each launch and it looks like it uses a mortar size charge for propulsion. The main difference is that the hedgehog was impact detonation, these look like hydrostatic fused...anyways take it light

  • yea, i couldnt figure out what he was saying

  • Just dont react on it, he's probaly a foreign that doesnt know ''decent'' english.

  • Both hydrostatic and doppler sonar fused

  • jeez these guys are like gone - to much firewater

  • lol yea

  • who does - too much vodka
