he's a damn good skater, but his airs are simply not high enough and he's got no style imo. that's what's holding him back... he's like the opposite of sandro dias, who seems to have only five different tricks, but he makes them look good!!
I remember in like 91 or 92 going to an H-street demo at the playground skatepark in CT. It was Danny Way and Alfonso Rawls, and this dude was totally unknown at the time. But yeah he was doing his best to one up Danny and Alfonso, trying to be the one man demo that nobody came to see.
And I remember in '99 he built a secret backyard ramp, with a drop-in 4 stories tall and 4 ft. wide. No audience, no safety nets, just Andy being the first person in the world to jump over fifty feet on a skateboard. Danny put his mega- quarter pipe on the end of a similar set-up, and proceeded to take ALL the credit publicly despite numerous opportunities to tell the truth about whose idea it was. I'm not taking anything from Danny on where he's gone with it though - just sayin' what's real.
I feel the same way dude. I've never had a problem with him for any reason because his skating does the talking. I dunno why no one snapped him up after Human Skateboards disbanded. I dont think vert was that popular tbh so no one wanted him. Their loss. Thats why he started his own Co. At least now his decks are top quality made by Powell so ppl cant moan about him being a sellout.

He should be on some major company's roster, like Birdhouse or Flip, but he's always got stuck riding for, like, Powell's blank brand or some shit lol.

Airwalk is a multimillion dollar company and if you know anything about business, and yes skateboarding is a business, you would know that a sponsor like them will keep food on the table for years to come.
I remember like last year, one of our teachers is friends with andy and when 8th grade was on the DC trip he came in and signed a bunch of shit for kids, it was so sick, our teacher had to be stupid though, we were the only class who didnt get to go see him. it was so lame! we were all pissed that we missed it

Yeah, he's my second cousin, but I hardly ever see him cause he never comes to family functions. But he did however send me a bunch of signed posters and passes to the Boom Boom Huck Jam and passes to meet all the skaters. It was cool.
