There is no support for so many war Veterans, once we have been wounded, especially, the invisible wounds of PTSD, hearing loss, and TBI. The VA makes a sport of dismissing these kinds of valid claims, no matter what proof a veteran may possess. They don't care. The nation we served has failed us, when we have sacrificed so much. I served in the Navy for 10 years and in the Persian Gulf in 2005. I can't get private health care because of my medical conditions I got in the military. I was in a car accident in Nov 07 and now owe St Francis Hospital (Hartford, CT) $20,000. I asked the VA and they gave me a quote (what they would pay) of $2800 for my 2 day stay. I asked to pay this out of my pocket, but the hospital wants all 20K. Support our troops? I guess as long as it doesn't require money or actual effort.

There is no support for so many war Veterans, once we have been wounded, especially, the invisible wounds of PTSD, hearing loss, and TBI. The VA makes a sport of dismissing these kinds of valid claims, no matter what proof a veteran may possess. They don't care. The nation we served has failed us, when we have sacrificed so much. My parents met in the army, (in Korea), and I know a lot about the military. It is real black and white to me. When we go to war, we are in imminent threat. We implement the draft and we go kick ass. That way the rich kids die along with the poor ones. I lost a child, (not in a war), but I am here to tell you that when you are lowering your child into the ground, you don't really give a fuck how they got there. It is devastating and war should not be taken lightly.

We have had bin Laden in our gun sites twice now, but the troops were called off by the bush administration. The bush administration has NEVER been serious about catching him. I think now President Obama is fixing the relationship with Pakistan so we can cross the border. He is sending them $. Kinda like how we pay the "Sons of Iraq". I served in the Navy for 10 years and in the Persian Gulf in 2005. I can't get private health care because of my medical conditions I got in the military. I was in a car accident in Nov 07 and now owe St Francis Hospital (Hartford, CT) $20,000. I asked the VA and they gave me a quote (what they would pay) of $2800 for my 2 day stay. I asked to pay this out of my pocket, but the hospital wants all 20K. Support our troops? I guess as long as it doesn't require money or actual effort.

Personally I want to leave soon, not now cause there is still lots of work to be done. Face it if the U.S. had not invaded there would not be hundreds of thousands of deaths in Iraq. Al-Qaeda was not even in Iraq before we invaded. Now their numbers are growing. There is oil there and Iraq is a perfect strategic location to have in the middle east. And yes the US is having military bases there and building a navy base. This war is all political.
