THE SECRET to avoiding razor bumps is:

EXFOLIATE, get rid of dead skin trapping the hair in the first place or go to that gym or play sport and shower more regularly

Change your razor, regulary

Never let the area go dry after washing, I tend to use vitamin E based products. Enjoy that short cut

I've even tried Tend Skin, Bump Stopper (Regular and Extra Strength), No More Razor Bumps, and this other thing called Hovan's Gold. The only thing that works for me is High-time bump stopper..I have a combination of problems 1. razor bumps 2. sensitive skin...which means I cannot use anything with a lot of alcohol in it (i tried Tend-skin b4 and that stuff was murder, its mostly alcohol). But 2 daily applications of bump stopper minimizes my bumps by 50% (wont get rid of them completely). The only thing that sucks is if i skip a treatment, they return quickly. So i must do it regularly.

Best solution is to buy some of that razor bump stopper stuff. I used the liquid stuff, you can also get creme. Anyway apply it, wait for a few minutes, do your shaving ritual, make sure to put a lot of hot water on your face taking shaving creme off, and even soaking your face with warm water from a towel. Then re apply. And re apply twice a day.

No more bumps for me. I had a mild condition anyway. Just 1 area but I do this every morning and night. And time I shave

1st-

great video and great advice, but let me add also, the 1st thing u should do when u shave is put a hot towel on your face, that makes the beard hair softer and easier to cut, thats why barbers do that when they do a str8 razor shave

2ND- alot of prevention goes into preventing ingrown hairs, one starts with the clippers themselves, make sure those clippers are well sanitized...
