Instead, I just reminded them that 1948 was the election year when the Chicago Tribune trumpeted, "DEWEY BEATS TRUMAN!" Harry got a good laught over this the next day at the "Trib's" expense. Dave.
Could you imagine a morning show today...like Regis and Kelly, for example...stopping for "A Moment of Silent Prayer," as they do here? Wow, it was a different world back then.
Chicago based .listened to every morning. Rememberred fondly...especially march around the breakfast table.
