I've always been proud of Lea S. both as a professional and in her personal life. She carried herself with dignity and grace, gave her very best, and didn't let success/fame get into her head. i first heard/seen the videoke of this song "the journey" during the christmas vacation in 1999.

i was touched by the lyrics, then by january 2000, i asked my students to look for the song.

since then, it became a graduation song of the graduating class.

(just don't really know the composer and if this is lea's original, will somebody shares information of this song),

for sure, we would love to hear it. thanks..

I attended one of lea's concert before and if i recall right, the song was composed by the same lady who composed "God is Watching Us" by Bette Midler. Forget her name, though. She was a lady lea met in NY, i think.  Perhaps you can search on bette Midlier's song as regards the name of the composer. I think lea's the original for this song.
