I know teachers and students from Poland as I work in the school environment. In most cases the only thing that holds Polish students back is the language. Commenting on education in Poland: YES, Polish level of education in mainstream schools is much higher than in English schools ... I know teachers and students from Poland as I work in the school environment. In most cases the only thing that holds Polish students back is the language. Once they overcome that they can get very very far. Most of them have fantastic attitude towards learning.

Alright it is untrue that the US education system is that easy. The USA has the best universities in the world. People going to those universities have graduated from an american high school and have got in. They would not be accepted if they didn't have the required knowledge. Anyway, there is no ideal places on the world. America can be proud for many reasons and you have great capabilities for people which wanna do their best. But on the other hand you don't find so stupid or fat people in Europe. There is no greatest country on earth - you don't have method to measure it.

Not really. Depends on what classes you take. The AP classes are quite hard and challenging. And the Polish education system isn't really that good.
But still he accomplished a heck of a lot by getting into Harvard. I wish him all the best.
