The new logo is fine- the new title sequence and the new arrangement of the music leaves a lot to be desired...! On the plus side, the rest of the new series is fab!

i'm a little upset about it... i don't really understand why they decided to make this whole huge change! i mean i understand about how matt smith is entering and david is leaving but, i wouldn't mind one bit if they left it the bloody way it was before... for some reason the new logo reminds me of scooby doo, and thats sorta cheesy.... i will make a video on this..... hopefully

@britishpeoplerule7 It's a tradition they used to have with the old show. Every time a new Doctor came in, the logo and the Tardis would change in some way. This is just a continuation of that trend.

I Like the Logo, it's quite a Good style but as Kayley said, you wouldn't know the DW was shaped like the TARDIS unless you've actually watched the Progamme but yh, i still like the New Logo but not as good as the Old One

Just a thought since we have the new logo and new theame music ect. In the eary 1980s the projuiceer did all this and he had an eye to bring Doctor Who into the mainstream in America. Does Mofet have an eye for America.

I LOVE the new logo. It doesn't much looking like it's going to fit with the old intro (which I also love) but I'm excited to see that the new intro is going to be like! I hope they keep the same intro music, I think it's the best out of all of the DW intros.

personally i'm liking all the new changes, but what has peeved me off is the lack of Doctor Who this year 1 episode in easter, 5 Torchwood episode all in the same week and then nothing for such along time, I just gald Sarah Jane is back this week something to look forward too

I'm not fully decided on whether I like the new logo or not. The first time I saw the TARDIS-shaped DW I thought it was quite cool, but then I looked at the full insignia and was reminded of older logos, which could be a good thing, but I don't like the idea that they're going backwards, as it were.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do for a new intro, although I'm worried that the vortex background will be lost: I love it because it almost feels you're travelling with them. :)

Then again the current one does look like the sign that says taxi on the front of black cabs. :p

All of the Doctor Who intros have been pretty similar. Thye all sort of focus on the going through the time vortex idea. I was happy with the current one because it reminded me of one of the classic intros with Tom Bakers doctor (FAVE!).

I liked the colours of the old logo, coz it was spacey and stuff but to be because of red shift. So I guess this is, like, blue shift? (Anyone who's better at science than me, feel free to correct me there.) But I dont like the new logo. Maybe it will grow on me, I think I'm just so in love with the old one. But I do like the IDEA of retro...

I don't like the new logo- 'cuz it's not new, I think they're just trying to "bring back the old stuff" and I don't think they should. I'm not saying the classic isn't appreciated, just that the new DW is different and they shouldn't be made to be the same.

Doctor Who is to you Brits as Superman is to us Americans. Not everyone may have been there since day 1, or even watched/read it... but it's still pretty much commonplace in the collective conscious of the nation to know who the character is.

Plus they're both old so it's common to want to change up the character a bit yet also give it a retro feel. In this instance, the logo and intro. (In Superman's case the most recent remake)

I'm torn. As a way to a new perspective and mixing it up, I adore the new logo. I think it's dark and lovely and I love the DW TARDIS. Of course, I also am sad to see the old one go, but a new ear has begun and we need to overhaul. I think that it will work well with what they are trying to do this time around and having Matt Smith as the new Doctor.

I hadn't really thought about that. You have a really good point. The logo is kind of a throw back, and maybe it's pointing to that the new Doctor will be a little bit "old fashioned"?

I haven't really felt either about the logo, but coming from the UK perspective, it's not such a big deal that the logo is changed. And who knows, maybe the new logo will make more people in the US interested!

Thing is, Doctor Who is a 46 year old TV show not a 4 year old one! Logos and theme music are always changing... change is a constant. And that's good. Otherwise the show would have died with William Hartnell's failing health decades ago.

I'm not entirely sure what I think about the logo.. it all depends. One day I think it's awesome, the next I'm not so sure any more... I'm going to miss the intro though, if they decide to change it... anyway, we'll just see...
