Hi, this is an Unger cone, but I am not sure if the actual angle adapter is Unger also. I'm not fussed really as long as its the metal one. The plastic one flexes too much but is lighter. (The black ones used to attach a brush for WFP, is good though. This has a screw thread to take the brush but is not compatible for the Unger Cone.)
Yes I agree that a metal angle adaptor is the way to go for the reasons you have said.
