Soil festivities by Vangelis is one of the most amazing synth albums ever created and the guy probably played it all in by hand and recorded to multi track-True brilliance to be able to score music in such a way and it makes for a more fluid sounding score I think, sequencers do tend to impart their own groove onto things.Vangelis is brilliant.
Believe it or not, Vangelis still uses the same recording method he has for many years. Plays Multiple synths at once , some programmed with a lot of velocity changes (cymbal crashes, kettle druns Etc on high velovcity settings). And all these synths are fed individualy to an input on a mixer and then to a multitrack recorder, in essance recording everything live and tweeked later. He rarely records tracks seperately or sequences anything.

I'm sorry but i don't know. Since this was from a TV show i assume it could be an improvisation performance.

I'd love to know what this custom system is, that makes him sound like a one man band live. Awesome stuff.
