  • Kol HaKavod. I can hardly wait to make Aliyah, and learn at such a place. B'ezrat HaShem, perhaps even in this Yeshiva.

  • hachem in arabic means the destroyer and its the name of prophet muhamed grandfather

  • Wonderful thank you. I would hope to see it one day.

  • It would be nice to see such an institution produce a film about Jewish history.

  • i didnt quite get it. what are they all doing and why are they so great?

  • They are learning, teaching and spreading the authentic Torah of the Creator of the universe with joy, fear of Heaven, and great love. That is what they are doing that makes them so great. And all that in spite of the fact they were expelled by their wicked government from their homes in Gush Katif. I hope that you, too, can learn what that means so that you can appreciate that.

  • They are the future of Israel, internally, combined with the brethren in exile = unstoppable force to bring about the geula -redemption.

  • Why don't the women learn torah?

  • Women do study Torah (in Seminaries/women yeshivot @ home etc). Its required for all Jews to study Torah. The sages taught us that women received the Torah 1st on Mt Sinai, they were more faithful then men (Golden calf), contributed more to it, n spread Family Purity. Reciving the Torah 1st, they were given a gr8 task.

Women share the most important role in Judaism. The build a Jewish homes n establish such values/norms among their children & spread holiness n sanctity among family members.

  • @DofaDofah I really appreciate your comment. Women are highly overlooked in many cultures. It is fortunate that we have such a beautiful Torah that demands for us to treat ALL people as if they have a very significant purpose to serve The Almighty. Thank you!

  • moronthannot, you are most welcome.

  • Brilliant video! This yeshiva has a lovely vision.

  • The video is accurate regarding the affectionate and warm atmosphere too. This is the best find yet during my 6 years in Israel (as far as an established community is concerned). I have many friends who keep halakha according to Mishne Torah... but we're not an organized community yet. We're all scattered. But there are many MANY likeminded people at this yeshiva, including many who are similar to the path of Mishne Torah, but dont strictly go by it. B"H. These people have passion 4 G-d.

  • Is it also the business of a yeshiva to make converts? Or does that mostly happen within congregations?

  • Yeshivas also oversee such processes... but these are usually yeshivot which have many English speakers. This particular yeshiva has very few English speakers.

I don't know if they would over see a conversion or not... I can find out.
