They were always commited by Muslims from Malaca, Bugis people of Borneo and Sulu moros. Slave raiding, piracy and kidnapping have been their livelihood even until today. A Kafir in islam is a term that applies to someone who covers the truth about a matter after having knowledge. Being a nonmuslim does not make a person a kafir. In S. Africa, the term applies to only the blacks (like nigger). it has nothing to do with islam in this sense. Just like the english word cover is derived from kafir, but does not apply to islam. 1st, Help me to understand what you are trying to prove by this video? Yes, we Muslims have bad apples just like every other religion. However, there is a difference between a religious practice and deviant acts committed by followers of the faith. Surah 2:177 clearly says that zakat is to be used to free slaves. If a muslim breaks an oth, they must free a slave. However, being a Christian, you are aware that your religion enslaved Millions of Muslims in the name of God.

On another note, why not mention the one drop rule used by Christians to enslave anyone with one drop of black blood? White slaveowners themselves were even enslaved once it was discovered that they had a black ancestor. Moreover, the word colored actually means God's stepchild; i.e., you are not even a true child of God simply because you have black skin. It is quite unfortunate that your hate towards Islam his blinded you to the point that you ignore your own crimes of slavery.

Just a little info: An Arab is not a race of people; rather, a linguistic and cultural group which include Africans and Asians; etc. Therefore, if you speak Arabic as a native tongue, have the dress and culture, you are an Arab. In Saudi Arabia, there are Muslim, Christian, and Jewish Arabs. They range in color from extremely light to jet black. Moreover, slavery was a social system based on class in Arabia. A black man could own another black man or even a white as a slave.

You are totally wrong! Under Islamic law, there are people called dhimmi, who are nonmuslims (Jews, etc.) that live in Muslim lands who are free to keep their religion and live in peace. @hadid1ahke You are confusing two separate pieces of land,the Arabian peninsula and the greater middle east. There are no Jews in the Arabian peninsula bar Yemen where they are treated badly. I have not mentioned the dhimmi. The experience of Jews and Christians in these countries was pretty much reliant on the mood of the muslim ruling elites.in Iraq Jews did well in morrocco under king mahmud for example they did badly.

Only a small percentage (about 20%) of Muslims are Arab. Moreover, Islam does not recognize sects. Therefore, if you refer to yourself as anything other than a Muslim, you are deviating from the instruction of the Quran (6:159) and Mohammed (73 sects will emerge and all will be in hell except 1). Lastly, Islam is the only religion that seems to be overshadowed by the sins of its followers. Islam supports dhimmi. But if a Muslim violates this pact, he is sinful, not the religion.

2nd, slavery has existed for as long as man has been on the earth. A slave could buy his freedom, marry the daughter of his owner, etc. However, Dutch colonial racism, S. African and American slavery was based on a persons skin color. Moreover, physical abuse and torture were used to demoralize the captives. For the first time in history, the fictional Ham doctrine was used to justify slavery as a religous right, based on having dark skin.

You are correct in that slavery became based on race once White slavery came to an end. The purpose of basing slavery on the Ham doctrine was to prevent white abolitionists from trying to free the enslaved Africans and to manipulate the Africans to not resist slavery. It was also illegal to enslave another Christian; therefore, most of the slaves brought to America were Muslim, animist, etc.

I cannot say that they were White Christians because, the reason the Ham doctrine was instituted was because a black slave could be freed if her converted to Christianity; because it was illegal to enslave another Christian. Therefore, it is unlikely in the begining. However, I do feel like greed possibly resulted in the enslavement of some White and black Christians.
Many Black Americans such as I reverted to Islam because it is the only religion that gives us true peace!

I do not, for one minute, disagree that millions of West Africans were shipped accross the sea to be worked into the ground but millions of Europeans (largely Catholics) too suffered this fate until the 18th century. Slavery in the modern period is quite clearly linked to the development of capitalism and anyone who was considered 'other' was fair game.

This is well documented in historical records here and all of the names of those captured by the "brave men" are also recorded. These included a heavily pregnant woman, as well as many other women and children. Spoils of war? They were seen being sold on in the slave markets of North Africa. Untill 1922, it had been enslaved by the British (like many countries), and only gained its independance through insurrection.

I'm Irish, born and raise and I'm about as atheist as they come. Most people that I know that are under the age of 35 are either agnostic or atheist. Irish people were very religious back in the '70 and '80 when I was a kid, but we've matured over the last few years and most of us realise that religion is a scam.

True. But most religions have caused suffering and cruelty to others. If everyone just followed the basic teachings of their faith and ignorned the so called holymen that spread(invest) the word of their god(s) the world would be a far better place. I'm christian and to be a proper christain as thought by jesus is to love your neighbour. You don't have to worship just be good to others. Far too much hate in this world

Well in a way, yes some faith members went too far sometime to killing innocent people, with any JUSTIFICATION. Having said that, I do not agree with you on the issue of the Holymen(Scholars) as well as on the issue of the ACT of WORSHIP. To love thou Neighbour, is a MUST but it has to be VALIDATED by the ACT of SINCERE WORSHIP of the TRUE CREATOR.
Muhammed(pbh) was asked by the CREATOR{Allah(swt)} to find the people of MECCA so that the FOUNDATION of Islam can be BUILT and so did HE(pbh).

That is just the tip of the ICEBERG, as far as the Christian DOGMA is concerned. Truth is Christians do not care about the HISTORY of their FAITH and this is where the real problem lies. To falsify human history is the BIGGEST CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY. For really, it is from HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVES that BOTH PRESENT and FUTURE can be EVALUATED and BUILT UPON.
When Historical Facts are destroyed, future generations are also DOOMED in IGNORANCE and ARROGANCE.
