  • I have the VL-03, and it is hands down the best EDC I ever had, opens and closes with both hands easily, it's safe, solid, very sharp, the blade is tick, a real MACHINE. Lives up its name.

its also lightweight, ergonomic and with its blade design, even if you try to release the arc-lock, when stabbing something hard (as a car door, kkk ) the blade cannot close and if you hold it tight, so it won't cut you by accident. I`m planning to order another one just as a Backup Folding Knife.

  • thanks for vid, nice blade. Choosing my first SOG and thinking between the ArcLock Vulcan/SpecElite and the assisted ArcActuator Aegis. Thanks for your opinion. Do you EDC it?

  • this is the VL-01 model isnt it

  • Hey is it normal for the pocket clip being so loose on this knife? I noticed it with the Aegis as well but not as much as the Vulcan...

  • Nice handling!

I have the TomCat 3 which is similar build / features, though no "flipper" on the back. Have to say, the build / finish / operation / handling of these is just outstanding. I've ordered a Vulcan mini for EDC. I'm not as deft as you are with the larger blade, and really prefer the flipper.

Ohe thing... watch out closing that puppy fast. Thta's a FAT VG10 blade, and anything that gets in the way is coming off before you even feel it.. (ask me how I know.)
