look im about 180 tall and 80 kilos,ive got a cr 250 94 mdl, plus im 21 years old, man even though its a 94 mdl it still wants to chuk me off the bike, on 250s the bands ar real strong so ifu r 13 id rather u not get a 250 cause they are quite zappy, 125s the way to go clock the shit out of that then upgrade..

I think it's a good idea. 250s put out alot of power though and you have to run them hard. It makes about 3 times the power. What type of riding do you do? A 125 would be a nice step up too, they're faster than you'd think.
dude I can beat my friends Dodge ram (5.7L Hemi) off the line with my YZ 125 so yah they are faster then most people think. ofcorse it catches up real quick but I can still take it off the line.
Yeah they rip. I think mine might actually be faster than my friends CRF250. I have mine modded some and his is stock. Mine will come right up to a wheelie in 4th gear (If I want it to). I couldn't get his up in 4th.
yah they are about the same, just multiply it by 2 haha so a 125x2 is 250 so its about the same as a 250 4 stroke, thats how i figure it out hahah. but yah i love my YZ, I was afrade i wasnt gona find another with a 6th gear kuz my first bike had 6 so i was used to it. but i did find ona :P

accually the best years of the CR250 was from 97 to 01 those years had the most power and those years of motors are what honda uses in there trx250r conversions to newer motors

my dad had one of those a long time ago now hes got the crf450 black edition but on that 96 he had the whole thing nickel plated with fmf pipe showa suspension all the goodies but says the 4 strokes are now the dominating bikes
yo...It just had boyseen reeds, dep front pipe, pro circuit back pipe,..ermm i think that was about it for actual mods to the performance, it had talon sprockets, renthal bars and other small things like that aswell, but yeah not much different from standered to the engine, ohh... it had a prox con rod and piston in it aswell :)

Nah, 450 4-stroke will not blow away a 2-stroke 250. It's all in who is riding. Both bikes have the same amount of HP. Both bikes with simple mods will kick out 50hp each.
Yeah no joke i love the sound of my Cr 250 hitting 20,000 rpms its sweet. not to mention its fun to just try to fight the bike and keep the front end down. thats how you get fast and good

yeah I'm 17. i started riding when i was 13 on a bike my dad bought me. i just bought my own 2000 RM125 last summer for $1100. It's different when you own a bike. you take pride in it and really want to keep it in good condition. i've already put about $500 dollars of new parts in it. It's an expensive sport, no doubt.

yo...It just had boyseen reeds, dep front pipe, pro circuit back pipe,..ermm i think that was about it for actual mods to the performance, it had talon sprockets, renthal bars and other small things like that aswell, but yeah not much different from standered to the engine, ohh... it had a prox con rod and piston in it aswell :)

yep...i know its crappy music...BUT.. i dont know about you but i can hear the engine fine, it was more importantly to show how the bike went and looked like..it just shows that it runs properly etc. At least the people could see it ran ok. its better than no vid ;)

Nah, 450 4-stroke will not blow away a 2-stroke 250. It's all in who is riding. Both bikes have the same amount of HP. Both bikes with simple mods will kick out 50hp each.

yeah I'm 17. i started riding when i was 13 on a bike my dad bought me. i just bought my own 2000 RM125 last summer for $1100. It's different when you own a bike. you take pride in it and really want to keep it in good condition. i've already put about $500 dollars of new parts in it. It's an expensive sport, no doubt.
