  • Ah... the TAU. They are "WISE"... didnt watch all the movie clips.

The "ELDER" Tau knew the leader of that group of Space Marines was in diplomatic relations with a "HIGHER POWER" (back stabbed)? Didnt watch or play the game.

Typical white man space marines for you. Thats why there are so many groups of space marines. You got ULTRAMARINES, TEMPLARS (?)... BLOOD RAVENS and so on.

    Yeah... no comment.

  • Is Ardias of the Death Watch requisitioned from the Ultramarines?

  • @Echossaise Not sure, know nothing about the death watch Ardias, but this Ardis Died in battle with the Tau according to the fluff.

  • @uBrosis Actually Ardias was only wounded. He's alive, but was wounded in battle against the Tau.

  • @NicholasGeschke well in any case he is not in charge of the Third company anymore :P

  • @uBrosis Yes. That is true. The current Captain of the Third Company of the Ultrasmurfs is Mikael Fabian, Master of the Arsenal.

  • @Echossaise If you have read the Book of the Ultramarines, First Omnibus, which follows Uriel Ventris and his comrades of the Fourth Company, a space marine is certainly requisitioned from a Chapter by skill, merit, and knowledge of a dangerous xenos. E.G. Tyranids in the second book's case. They paint their armor black, but retain one emblem on their shoulder pads, the chapter in which they hail from. That's how they are easily identified, also by chapter traits and past military actions.

  • If the Tau ever learned how fucked up WH40K universe really is, they will shit themselves.

  • @TheVoiceOfReason93 they would build an exodus fleet and leave the galaxy for good

  • From what I've seen, they can build some models yes but they are nowhere near a match for the technology they had pre-heresy/dark age.

  • I just found it odd looking back that the Imperium would consider any sort of alliance with the Xenos, would it not be Heresy to do so? Although in the face of Chaos, I could see why the rules may be bent. As for the imperium's tech, it's very disparate, some worlds they are very advanced, others they have primitive 20th century weaponry. A pity they went through a dark age. If I remember correctly titans and power armour are lost knowledge, they can't reproduce them.

  • @GreenFont the imperium allies with xenos like tau eldar if faced with chaos tyranids orcs or necrons

the adeptus mechanicus can produce titans and power armours

  • xD it's funny because after this game, it says in the stor- Ardius dies by Tau -.-

  • @firelord699 Incorrect - Ardias survived, but was wounded by the Tau.

He's out of action, but he is alive.

  • Did anyone else realise that the guy doing Admiral constantine's voice also did the voice of Boss Nass in Star Wars???

  • @HuhMahNinja Yup, it's Brian Blessed!

  • @uBrosis

    Holy shit, it is! Wow!

  • @uBrosis FLASH GORDON!

  • @HuhMahNinja Ironically, Captain Ardias was Darth Maul as well.

  • @HuhMahNinja Dunno 'bout that, but the Tau at the start sound like the Trade Feds.

  • I believe the Imperial Ship is of Emperor Class... am i correct?

  • @ThePlaceCannel That it is.

  • @ThePlaceCannel

Nope, sorry. Good guess but no. It is in fact a dictator class.

I'm a battlefleet gothic nerd and I happen to have the book infront of me as I type. It matches the dictator class perfectly. Also the emperor class would be about twice the size of that ship and have more launch bays.

  • @Lathox I thought the Emperoro Class had only 1 group of side guns and 2 groups of launch bays. It also has a better forward weapon compared to the Retribution class... I too play BG but i dont have the Book. I just use the Games Workshop website but having the book would help/.

  • I believe the Imperial Ships is of Emperor Class... am i correct?

  • Methinks that the Admiral protest too much. The Tau are a young race- honorable, enlightened, growing. Why does the Imperium hate aliens? Not all of them are evil.

Survival they call it- don't make me laugh.

  • @NicholasGeschke they hate xenos because the emperor ordered all non human sentient life eradicated so humanity can claim the stars without opposition.. NON of the alien races are evil what so ever.. but humanity sees them as enemies

  • @EIN771 You're saying that Dark Eldar aren't evil at all? Lol

  • @GreenTFG they are hardly evil. just twisted. they do what they do to survive.

  • @NicholasGeschke in that aspect the tau are more smart than humanity... while humans are xenofobic the tau make allies with the aliens...

  • What game is this ?

  • @Arminoid .... read the description....

  • @uBrosis

    Damn it ... sorry

  • btw the RaPTOR chapter werent the best chapter at all also they knew that they were the worst the empirium had but another thing is space marines wouldnt even attack the tua and they started losing cuz they were a bran new race like bran bran new and those were only malitia in the 1st cutcene

  • Verdammte Tau Bastarde!

  • Despite being a supportor of the imperial Guard and loyal servant of the emperor i think one day the tau and imperium should combine forces together they eould be unstopable!!!!

  • As a Marine myself I respect the Tau- I even feel a strange protectiveness towards them. Sure, they're young and have much to learn, but in time they will exceed the Imperium's greatest accomplishments. They are a race that shows much promise, much in the way of hope.

  • Great lumps of pork! Admiral Constatine is voiced by Brian Blessed!

  • head vaginas :/

  • the humans seem to be the bad guy in this game, haha

  • That space marine is WAY undersized. In full armor they're supposed to stand almost 3 meters tall. That's what, eight, maybe nine feet? And this guys barely taller than the puny human governor! Stupid developers, don't know jack about 40k...

  • @MisterZimbabwe Space Marines are typically 7 feet tall. Certainly some become 8 feet tall, others like Pasanius of the Ultramarines Fourth Company, 9 feet, but those are the exception rather than the rule. For some reason people keep on proclaiming Space Marines to be a standard 8 or 9, but everything GW publishes always says average of 7 feet.

  • @Cursed13 or hagrethe space wolf he was like 10-11 feet tall

  • lol they talk of alien scums and heretics the sace marines r no longer humans they r mutant scums that challenge humanites strength if they cannot trust aliens y shud the imperials trust the space marines doesnt that sound like something to gesse about

  • @HanDynasty26349 all to many humans have dealed with xenos like the imperial guard inqustion all arms of the imperium have at one piont so dont ride your high horse plus when the empoer is reborn we can have a allince with the tau and eldar to eradicate chaos an the orks and al other that oppose us all the empoer wanted id for humanty to united but sadly his dream was destroyed by the great betrayer horus.... :(

  • Wait how did the erthreal get back on the Tau ship when he was taken by Space Marines?

  • @Blocky858 Kais (the one you play) went to the imperial planet, stormed the prison where they locked him up and rescued him :)

  • @uBrosis Kais you say. hmm the tau commander in dark crusade was called Shas'O Kais. I wonder...

  • @freewillgeorge Well there has been no offical word if it's the same Kais, but since Kais is a rather common Fire caste name I would say the chances for it being the same one are rather slim.

  • @uBrosis fair enough. still fun to think that it is the same one.

  • @Blocky858 late reply, but when the tau and imperial ship stopped firing, ardias and the tau agreed to give back the ethereal and kais, but the chaos guys arrived before kais was off the ship, the etherial escaped though

  • btw im sorry but the tau fleet are fare supeiror to that of the impriom it states this within the tau codex they wiped out an entire fleet of impeiral vessles and only lost two ships.

  • i thought that the marine was a raven guard not an ultramarine

  • @TheBronze3ye in the start of the game (also the ones in the the first cutscene) you get to fight marines from the Raptor chapter and later you get Ultra marines as allies at some points.

  • actually as a game it sucked what they were thinking from games workshop:(

the WH 40 k universe can provide endless scenarios for games or movies

  • To say tau tech > Imperial tech isn't entirely true. The imperium still produces bits of tech that are far beyond the tau...eg. gellar fields, warp drives, teleporters. The main difference is that the tau still embrace science wheras only a tiny percentage of techpriests actually use the scientific method.

All this being said, the tau empire is utterly insignificant to the imperium and one decent sized crusade could wipe them out. If only there were not more pressing concerns for man...

  • It is my sacred duty to eradicate the alien and its heresys...thats badass.

  • I me sorry my voto is yes

  • The Imperium has a lot of very advanced technology. However their views of Technology border on the Occult their fabricators are the Techpriesthood who have absolutely no idea how it works, just that it does as long as they copy the orignal design or 'Standard Template Construct' to the letter. Right down to any notes the designer may have written on the design.

  • @edchopp

don't forget the mystical activation rune with the sacred word 'ON'

  • @Terrorkarel "Should a machine not function upon striking the panel marked 'on' this is an omen of great ill. The operator must repeat the ritual from the beginning repurifying himself, enscribing the runes, intoning the incantations, and striking the panel marked 'on'. An accompanying oath may be made. Should this procedure fail, the operator must recourse to consulting the instruction manual."

  • @FRANKIELALALA to bad u comment has to many negitive votes no surpriseing i will be good to know wont get a job if u dont like "nerds" the rule the world

  • @DarkOne57s First of all, that wasn't even me. Secondly, nerds do not rule the world.

  • @FRANKIELALALA yes they do all powerful buisness men are "nerds" especially the most powerful of the companys like microsoft sony and all the electronic companys

  • @DarkOne57s No they are not. You are conforming to popular belief

  • @FRANKIELALALA no your the streotyping all for likeing something u dont whitch makes them nerds dipshit

  • @DarkOne57s I cannot read improper grammar. SARAHHY

  • @FRANKIELALALA sad so u dance around the question

  • @edchopp yep the dark age of tecknology caused the fabricators of mars to forget about everything and also sumin happend i beilieve that necrons turned up mind they do worship the machine god hmmm wonder who they can be lol btw it points this out in the necron codex but i duno if this is true or not

  • Necrons are and will always be the most advanced race.. followd by eldar then tau. The imperium used 2 be advanced but lost the tech in the age of strife.

  • are these taus?

  • Yup

  • for the greater good! xD

  • Markku you have to face the facts that yeah theres alot of orcs but maybe one out of a million orcs are usefull, because while they are running and running and running they are also being blown up into ittybitty orcy bits, also the spores have to survive, if they bodies are burned like must of them are there arent going to be any orcs poppin outta the ground.

  • I remember in the old background that the orks released spore when they died, which turned into more orks. Is this the case, or have they changed the backgroud for this?

  • Still like that.

  • Maybe you didnt realize my point, orks are the most numerous specias in galaxy, even marines would fall if they wpuld soddenly go to waagh. As of Core Worlds, Ghazskhull almost invaded Solar when he had his waagh, yarrick stopped. And he had like 1/60 of all orks.

  • How could that tiny Tau ship stand a chance against an imperial cruiser? the cruiser has much bigger guns.

  • But the tau technology is more Advances then the emporium so they are evenly match

  • well if the imperium could scramble up its full force, the tau would be smashed. but since its beset from all sides and from within it doesn't matter.

  • tau tech isn't more advance than humanity... as far as the lore says the tau empire is the newlyest of them all... even chaos are older than them, so all in all humans tech is much older and also more advance... that they don't use lazer as much doesn't mean they are less advanced ;)

  • The tau are young only about 5.000 years old but I should have been more precise the tau are more advance then the emporium in general yes the emporium have very advance technology but because of events and its society the technology of emporium is less advance then it should be. :)

  • @fiskefyren

Tau tech is currently surpassing Imperial tech. Case in point: Tau plasma doesn't kill it's user whenever the gun feels like it.

While the Imperials have "good" tech for now, their tech is not going forwards, only backwards, while the Tau progress (at least somewhat) continuously.

Tau don't use lasers because they have RAILGUNS. Too bad they seem to be near-sighted.

Being the young race doesn't make them less sophisticated, just ask an Ork lol.

  • Well since it is an Astrates ship, it's a strike cruiser which are not focused for fire power, but delivery of troops to the orbital area and bording actions

  • Its a Emperor Class Battleship of the imperial navy, not a space marine vessel.

  • i love ardias's voice. it sounds calm yet mocking at the same time

  • That's because it's Peter Serafinowicz doing the voice acting; he also played the voice of Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode 1.

I also recognised Brian Blessed playing the admiral and Burt Kwouk playing the Tau military commander.

  • i hate u fire warior is a briliant game!!!!!!!

  • what they need to do is have the 3 races with brains to all come together and destroy chaos tau eldar and humans no force can stop them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Except the Tau can't join, because they are communist fuckheads ; )

  • sniff you make tau sad

  • Ok, maybe I overdid it a little. All I'm saying is that the Eldar, Tau and Humans can't really agree on anything. And the only race who can actually destroy Chaos is the Necrons, but even so they can only achive this indirectly, by purging all life from the material universe, thereby ending their reflections in the warp (Chaos).

  • well thier have been times where eldar and humans fight side by side to defeat chaos

  • Indeed sir! Right you are I'd like to put my foot through the head of every filthy tau scumbag :)

  • the greater threat = necrons

  • the greater threat= chaos marines

  • the greatest threat = tyranids

  • Orks.

    Tyranids are running from them.

  • No, Chaos is. Without proper vigilance, thousands of worlds can fall to Chaos in an eyeblink. The Nids are still held back by the principles of physics. The Daemons of Chaos are not. Besides, in the 40k rulebook there's a pic of a Daemon Prince owning a Carnifex.

  • too bad that the tyranids are infinite in number.

  • And Chaos isn't?

  • no, they're innumerable, not infinite.

  • exactly, as I said above, for every enemy the Tyranids fell, they gain the biomass to produce allies.

  • Agreed. The Tyranids are overrunning the universe. The Chaos forces need flesh and individual minds and desires to corrupt and cannot influence Tyranid hive minds that care only for survival. Orks are disorganized and no match for the hive fleets. The Tau cannot stop tem, nor can the Imperium or the Elders. Necrons are pawns of Chaos and are hardly worth bothering with.

  • indeed, but if the orks should ever organize, they would destroy everything, including the tyranids.

  • Everything except the Tyranids. I don't think anyone can stop them.

  • Tyranids are like Zombies, for everyone of anything else they kill, they gain an ally (or more), The only way the Tyranids could be stopped is by the killing of the Hive Mind, which would take a joint effort of most of races of the Galaxy working together to find the home galaxy of the Tyranids and making a means to get there.

  • ask the eldar there empire spanded the whole universe unless the webway gate is damaged so can go for the hive mind

  • the necrons are as unstopable as any army most races are fearful of necrons and the entire necron race isnt even fully active and it took the combined efforts of the eldar and the old ones to destroy them last time

  • also the tyranids would see no rreaso n to fight the necrons unless for survival becuse the necrons have nothing that can be digested there made of living metal which i dont think will do to well for there inards as the could rebuild inside a digestion pool (hehehehe imagine if they tried to digest an inactive monolith which got awakened that would be hilarious to watch)

  • Danny77uk, the Tyranids were kilometres away in the first Dawn of War games, in number 2 they arrived!

  • What if the orks organized galaxywide and became the most technologically advanced race in a short time then even the tyranids would run like hell

  • they wouldn't need to become the most technologically advanced. just uniting ALL the orks as they are now would be enough.

  • OK yes the Orks are awesome but looking at it from a nuetral point of view, the TYRANIDS will EVENTUALLY absorb the entire galaxy, theres just no question of it. the only thing that could stop this from happening is the Necron because they have no Biomass, but even then it would take a significant force with enough galactic resources to defeat a force that spans MULTIPLE Galaxies.

  • If the orks could ever unite they would crush the tyranids like the bugs they are. I mean if the Imperium can turn the once mighty hive fleets into splinter fleets and eventually wittle them down then a galaxy of united orks would overwhealm the nids in an unstopable green tide.

  • Necrons!! will win u fool!

  • Pure cheese.

  • Space Marines seem a bit small. O_o

  • small? space marines are 2m tall... they are as long as they msut be....

  • Their alot taller than 6ft

  • they are 2m....

  • 2m is 6'6ft, but they need to be at least that tall

  • well they are something 7-8ft so something 2.5-3m

  • awesome, tho space marine dude sounds like darth malak to me?

  • Humans are taught from a young age to hate aliens, you can't really blame him any more than you could blame someone for not wanting to walk into a bear's cave

  • True, you can't blame them, but you've got to say if they teamed up then they could get rid of the rest of the races.

  • @greblu2 Uh... even SMs hate aliens. It probably took all of that captain's willpower to not order the admiral to attack. All of the Imperium in 40k hate aliens, mutants and people of different religions politics etc. The Imperium is basicly all of historys worst facist reigimes in space. Its actually natural for the admiral to say that. If anything he was being polite.

  • @kingkong381 well when the empoer comes back we can be less xeno phobic and eradicte chaos hopefully by the time he is born through the star child humans will be almost as powerful as the empoer then the eldar tau alliance can destroy the orks choas deamons and chaos SMs

  • How did the chaos marines boarded the imperial flagship under the ultramarines noses?? maybe because they lost their homeworld to the tyranids. Poor bastards.

  • @azuer143 They didn't lose Macragge. It was attacked but The Ultramarines reclaimed it. But lost the entire 1st Company. In fact Macragge is normal again. Well apart from the training of elite SMs to fight 'nids

  • @kingkong381 ok thats my bad.. should have read more at lexicanum.. how did chaos space marines boarded that battleship? did serverus summoned the CSM

  • @azuer143 Dunno I've never played it.

  • Just compare the SM & the Tau. The SM appear so evil. The Tau speak of them so respectfully & in return the Imperium refers to them as 'alien scum' & have only nasty things to say. The Imperium is as much alien to the Tau as the Tau r to them.

  • I have SM army... love fighting tau, good race dont totally enjoy fighting them but it is awsome ^^ watching their poor rifle squads try to stop assault squads

  • mess with da tau, you mess with me...only if you a puny wimp which i can easily beat up...so if the space marines want to destroy the tau, they on theyre own cos im outta there lol

  • An Emperor Class battle ship cannot be without 3 cruisers escorts. WHERE ARE THE CRUISERS?!? lol

  • It's not like they navigate in formation most of the time... They could be kilometres away and still be in a position to back it up.

  • the cruisers are on break

  • The admiral sounded like Brian blessed !:O

  • Well Brian Blessed did the vocie of the admiral.

  • Freakin' awesome, I'm buying this just for old brian lol.

  • Is this a good game?

  • In my opinion.... nope.

  • NOOO!! Crapy graphic, bad gameplay....

  • I thought it would have been the necron they're just as deadly

  • "A cancer Admiral, a tumor to be removed..."

    Awesome line.

  • I found the 1st seven missions to be boring.

The second was good, got to kill some Chaosmarines.

The third seven was very fun. I found the boss at the last mission to be easy.

  • For the Emperor

  • 10th company dont have rims, they are the scouts. And i believe 4th is gold, 2nd is yellow and 6th is also yellow (If you read Nightbringer the Ultramarines 4th company have gold trims)

  • maybe so, those I wrote down was from the epic: armageddon rulebook.

  • i dnt mean to be a smart arse bt it is the ultramarines 2nd coy tht is gold, 4th have a green trim to their armour ( u can see it on the cover of nitebringer)

    :)

  • the cancer's probably tyranids

  • nope It´s chaos.

  • lol, Brian Blessed FTW!!

  • WTF is this????? i just got the 4 RTS!

  • wait a sec if he is of the ultramarines chapter than why are his shoulder cup rims red and not gold???

  • Becouse he is from the ultramarines third company and they have red rims, the second company have gold rims and the forthed company have green rims if I remember correctly.

  • and first company??

  • If I´m not completely wrong: 1st: white 2nd: Gold or yellow 3rd: Red 4th: Green 5th: Black 6th: Gold or yellow 7th: Red 8th: Grey 9th: Blue 10th: White
  • most people play with the 2nd company, mostly you see them with gold rims

  • i used to use the 8th company

  • mostly people have 2nd company and veterans from the 1st, but i have never seen 8th company

  • I paint my Ultramarines as 4th Company

  • good for you

  • wait a sec if he is of the ultramarines chapter than why are his shoulder cup rims red and not gold???

  • Ironically Ardius eventually dies at the hands of the Tau Empire during the Jorian retaliation..

And he was one of my favourite characters too :/

  • Captain Ardias was a member of the Ultramarines Chapter who are renowned for their honourable conduct.

  • One good thing about this game: Ardias' voice suits a space marine perfectly.

  • what chapter or legion was the space marine in in the cutscene?

  • blood ravens or maybe black templars iuno jus ma guess

  • nope sri ultrmarines ma bad

  • Ultramarines.
