during the bit with all the 'friends' yelling each others names back and forth, i was surprised by the distinct lack of METAL WOLF CHAOS cutscenes.

The only thing I can think is that perhaps just like the japanese use the sound "nya" to describe a cat sound, maybe "durarara" is used to discribe the sound of a motorcycle.

Never Liked Durarara. Love the animation, i think alot of the characters are good. But i hate the second arc, characters arnt developed like baccano (and if they are going to refrence their own series a bajillion times then people are going to judge you based upon how good baccano is compared to DRRR), and things are just never explained, and not in a good way.

@lol2fly you can say that about any high school anime character in a shonen manga/ anime. for example, Ichigo from bleach, kyoko from black cat, the entire main cast from the persona series. Gangs aren't that special and who doesn't have a demon sword in anime nowadays. I'm not saying mikado and the other's aren't intersting, but when you compare them to guys like Shizuou and Izaya, they just don't seem as appealing. The high school thing just get's old.

Another excellent list of awesome characters. Admittedly, I've been deprived of watching the awesomeness of Trigun for a long time, but I really want to give it a watch now.

Oh, & while I'm thinking about it, in SAMURAI CHAMPLOO!! (lol), Fuu complains about her cup-size a lot because those weren't her real boobs in the clip, but a pair of smoke-bombs she was hiding to save Gin & Mugen later in the 1st episode. Also, "Durarara!!" is a play on the name of Celty's race, the "dullahan" of myth.
