Just saw Engelbert on 8/31/11. At 75 years old, this man still had it all. He had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand and his voice was just as amazing as it was years ago. If you have a chance, go see him live, you won't regret it!

The version that I heard was in spanish. Its called: "Sin Tu Amor' By: Los Freddys. Its just as beautiful as this one. But in spanish ofcourse. You would pay big money to see a performer like this today, with that full orchestra & background singers---someone with EH's delivery, pathos, & power. Does anyone do this now? I haven't seen it, but enlighten me if I am wrong. I also get a gnawing sense lately that men in the USA now, are less masculine than in the 60's & 70's, and that women are less feminine. We live in what I term the "shadow time." My college students tell me that they are aware that a better time preceded them.

this song is from my childhood days it means too much to me i remember whenever my father found me listening to enge he used to say you like that singer and i say yes he's engelbert humperdinck and he used to say engel what that's gerry dorsey my dad did not know he changed his name and he insisted on dorsey but he loved his voice so much

Engelberts voice is just so good even the climax of songs alot of singers sound like they are just shouting but engelbert stills sing them beautifully. A class singer and a voice that is better than all his rivals.

Difficult song to sing and he did it so well. Great song from his heart to us all. Yes, this was the way it used to be. Wished some of the songs today could be expressed just as well.

Memories and some more of the same , I just love to hear the love for singing coming through when ENGE sings , sometimes I think this is the difference we see & hear with ENGE's performance compared to others..always put his all into each song...we enjoy all these videos as well so many thanks for posting & Godbless ENGE xx

It's not bad, but the young man does not have Engelbert's power or control. In a few years, maybe. He could use more and better backup to enhance his singing

Pues a mi me vale madre como le hayan puesto en españa o en cualquier otra parte del mundo. Yo la he escuchado con el nombre de "sin tu amor" cantada por los mexicanisimos Freddy;s. y la letra es completamente diferente a la version en ingles, solo la musica es igual.
