  • I like the part where Weaver's character arrives and they shoot her only from the backside and don't show her face, it leaves her kinda distant.

OHMYGOSH! I love that puppy! ♥__♥

  • what was the blood from??

  • @EverythingMe15

cause he had to cut her stomach open to get the baby because they knew the queen was dying soon and they didn't have time to wait and give birth to snow white.

or did u mean earlier? cause she was impaled.

  • I know, of course, Conan was born in a battlefield, agreeing with his creator Robert E. Howard (1906-1936). But I wonder if Conan's birth, in Marcus Nispel's movie, was based in Snow White's one... ;)

  • he plays merlin ^^ he's soooo goood xD

  • this really makes you think about what mothers do for their kids

  • nice obeservation

  • that first scene just got me thinking about how moms suffer for their children, and my own mom

  • 3:06 - EWW!

  • you can get the driver but the horse? back off wolves!):

  • i remember wayching this when i was very young, it gave me nightmares

  • I think the father got the whole wing thing mixed all the way around!

  • the father playes snow white's father in another movie

  • I can't watch the first part because I imagine "what if's" about my mother if that happened to her.

  • So is this another version of snow white...by the way the tilte sounds it makes sound like its rated R..Im hope im wrong.

  • @TheMonsterSkull Snow white wasn't the original tale. Read the earliest tales Snow White is based on and you'll slap an R rating on them for sure. Sounds like you only know Disney fairy tales. Most you hear these days are far nicer than the originals. This version is a great re-write.

  • Oh, WOW! For a telly film, this looks lovely - costuming is well done and the acting too. Love the foreboding of the crow at the beginning.

  • Such an under appreciated movie. This has two very great actors, Weaver and Neill, and the plot is unmistakably creative. It has hints of Cinderella in it, but is undoubtedly about Snow White. I love that the "Evil Queen" is being manipulated by the magic of the mirror. Her child born still and troubled marriage, plus dealing with her stepdaughter, are rather good issues too. believable, but dark. And Snow White falling in love with a thief? Love it. This movie rocks!

  • thank for putting it up my firend hailey told me about it its really good

  • this movie's fucking badass, good film.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this! I adore this film and am so glad I found it here.

  • Thanks for putting this up, it's awesome and underrated :D

  • What the heck is so important that made an expectant, going on a horse cart in the middle of a forest full of wolves ? I can't understand what they say, so plz sb explains?

Also, the wolves eat the man and his horses right away, but leave the other man and his wife alone with all that tasty blood scent?

  • usually I'm skeptical about "dark" fairytale movies but this one was pretty terrifying :P

  • Sam Neill deserved an Oscar.

  • perfect! thank you!

  • Rotfl, he calls for cal is it? and the guys being eaten. xD

  • Can you make this video available to view on Ipods?

  • this my first time watching this movie, whatever happen to the step-mother's kindness? why did had she become so dreadful?

  • thanks!

  • why do they always make little kid sotries into a horror flick seriously

  • @RazziNDarkside actually they make the terrifing stories for kids xD for example "the little mermaid" was writen in Zuitzerland (or near by) about the 1600 and the story is really dramatic, the little mermaid bleeds everytime she walks and at the end the prince marries someone else and she turns into foam. The sleeping beauty was written by a tortured man in about 1600-1700 and supposetly the sleeping beauty was ripped and she wakes up when she gives birth. So i rather disney adaptations :)

  • @MsLoveEternal omg hahahaha i hope dr suess wasnt exagerated either

  • @RazziNDarkside hahahahahaha i hope so... xD no but really the Grimm brothers collected stories from Europe and kinda censured them.. :) look for the real stories! they are quite interesting!! :)

  • @MsLoveEternal haha i bet there was alot of killings and bloodshed for the alphabet to be established as well haha

  • thanks for uploading this video.

i can't very good english, but i can understand the story from this film.

  • @AngryLoo Thanks lol

  • omg puppy! cuteness overload!f

  • I finally found the snow white movie i saw about 9 years ago.finally :)

  • Nice Title???........ O.o

  • aawwwwww im soooo glad that for once a rotwieler has been used in a film for goodness. i have a 4 yr old rotty called bruce n he is the dopest and loveliest dog in the world he never harms anything and i hate it when people think that all rotwielers are mean and horrible coz theyre not!!!!

sorry bout the rant but i loooove this film my favourite snow white film!!!!

  • @meganlou17anime And I like you :)

  • he cut out the baby while she was still alive which is probaly why he said forgive me ;0 ?.that cause her to die faster...i cant believe he did that -_-.i think she would of been able to push that baby out.

  • @cherri7 you cant just push a baby out willy nilly. if she just started having contractions then it would have taken a while before any pushing started. plus if she couldnt breathe, it would have been awfully hard to do anything else

  • @Slim8Girl I got the impression he cut it out.

  • Best movie ever!

  • Comment removed

  • black hair, pale skin and bloody red lips?!

ugh... it reminds me of a ghost

  • hmmm i take it hes cut out babies before??...

  • Noooooooo!!!! Not the horsie :C

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!! I LOVE YOU! :D

  • no way does anyone bleed that much, and i must say that wolves generally don't attack humans unless they are absolutely desperate... so those wolves must have been really really really really desperate.

  • @Cinderella7865 its a horror movie!poeple bleed loads and wolves eat people too

  • i am surprised to see this here, this is my fav. version of snow white... i saw this when i i'm already in high school coz its rated R..really good film

  • This movie is SO GOOD! The Grimm Brother's Fairy Tales are so amazing, and this movie is true to their tale. LOVE IT!

  • aww man the stepmother gave snow white the puppy it gonna be hard trying to hate her :(

  • It may sound weird and corny... but it's amazing what a mother would do for her own child. I cried like a baby when the father kissed his wife for the last time :(

  • I love this film....thank you!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • LOL at 4:20 an oak with an apple growing on it ^^

  • @steffankaizer yeah lol.

  • @steffankaizer haha

  • @steffankaizer Like a boss. XD

  • That pup is sooooooooooooo cute OMG it looks almost identical to my 7 month old puppy Blaze ^________^ awwwwww

  • Omg this is soooo sad! The poor horses, the pregnant woman .. and god I only wonder how they pulled off the scene where the horse flipped without hurting it in the making of this film. Maybe I'm sounding naive, but I just wonder.

  • This is a very good documentary but you should know life isn't that dark everyday at the castle. We usually have a lot more fun: we dance, sing, and laugh! Hello, I'm Shelley Duvall.

  • once again sigourney weaver is awesome....

  • Hey lets remember people, These tales were NOT intended for children in the first place!

  • this film is the best of all snow white films because it shows a "realistic" version of the old fairy tale. as a child i loved the disney version of the fairy tale but as i saw this film the first time i taught "Damn the Disney version is so boring." but this one is just wow, you see it you love it, you feel with it. its absolutely breathtaking.

  • @KongOpusMagnum yes i absolutely agree :)

  • poor horses!! :( great movie !! totally love it !! :D

  • what is the date of this movie?

  • oh i love her green eyes

  • i love this movie, it's dark epic very sad

  • And why does this remind me so much of Ever After?

  • @fluergirl1 it's the hair net

  • @fluergirl1 it does :P

  • I can feel the evil bitch vibes already comin on D:

  • this movie was really creepy but I think dark fairy tales are fascinating. The evil queen is more complex in this film which makes her more terrifying.

  • Not exactly what I was expecting in the first minute of this movie. How sad :(

  • Awww, that puppy is just too cute! One of my favorite version of Snow White, the other being "Snow White: the Fairest of them All," which I can't watch on youtube anymore. *cries* At least this is still up, this movie is beast!

  • this is my favorite version of snow white movie, a lot of thrills and a bit different from the other one...coz we cannot see any dwarfs, but instead a miners! The title should be "snow white and the seven miners..LOL!!!

  • unorthodox c section but it works i guess

  • My favourite Snow White version >:3

  • OMG, the poor horse :(

  • Charming movie.

  • OMG, the stepmom is actually pretty nice! I hate it when those curve balls are thrown at me because then I become sympathetic to all the characters! LOL!

  • i really like this movie but i can't get part one to play. thanks for the rest of it.

  • I like this version...really neat

  • PUPPIES!!!! 2:11-2:15

  • Hey she's from Avatar

  • Oh come on! wolfs dont randomly attack ppl!

  • @annie57g I know! That annoyed me, too!

  • @annie57g maybe it was a cold and unlucky winter for them. im sure they attack when they are hungry.

  • I always think that if it hadnt been for lily her step mom wouldnt had turned evil

  • the rottweiler puppy is so cute

since now almost 6 years i want one

and now im getting one finally

ohh and the movie is awesome

it´s sad that i don´t find it in german because im from Austria

thank´s god i understand what they say

  • hey, so wat was the actual original?

  • @OliviaWP I took a pretty thorough class in fairytales and this is the best answer I can come up with: there is no original. All fairytales derived from folklore, which was told by word of mouth. The stories were told and changed many times verbally until someone decided to write them down. Then they were rewritten millions of times and changed AGAIN. There are also multiple versions of fairytales from all over the world.

  • @AnimeLoverKO In that class I read many versions of Snow White, from many different cultures, all sort of different, but with the same basic plot and message. No one is actually the original…they are all essentially different types of the same tale. It’s impossible to pinpoint an original because they were told verbally centuries before one person wrote them down. So - uh - I hope this helps! Sorry, I went all nerd on you. o.O; I love fairytales...once I start talking, I can't stop ^^;;

  • @AnimeLoverKO hey what kinda class is it that you took?

  • @victoria62573 It was called "Fairytale Origins" or something. It was just an elective english class I chose to take - it was actually pretty tough - but I feel lucky to have done it because it was such a unique class x'D (epic nerdom right here)

  • I thought the original name for Snow White was Blanche?

  • sam neil has nice hair xD

  • Sam is hot. I love him.

  • @ronssexybikerbae ew no he's not.

  • what's with the ugly hats?

  • ive got this on video..... personally i think its the best version :)

  • i love sam neill!!!!!!!!

  • I feel bad for Lady Claudia. She tried so hard to get Lily to like her.

  • I love this version because it's the original. The Brothers Grimm stories were not happy like Disney depicts them to be, they were all tragadies. Take hansel and Gretel, that woman villian wanted to eat them and that's no different then those rapist attacking kids now a days

  • @NarutoHinata3142 Actually the grimms version wasnt the original either, but yes your right, they are supposed to show the darker nature.

  • I love this movie Sam Neill is amazing. So is Monica.

  • hence why its 18s fucktard

  • this was a creepy movie and this is easily monica keena's (snow white) best movie shes ever made. and she was the most beautiful in this. too bad about her career, she did the horrible freddy VS jason and beyond that, not much of anything else that was on par with this movie.

  • this movie is amazing. one of the best i've seen and i to wish more people new about it.

  • @XxXLindseywayXxX yes me too

  • I adore this movie, and honestly wish more people knew about it. Weaver shows off her remarkable acting skills, as does Neill, and the plot is actually damn good :)

  • @Lunara13 when i first saw this i was like "wow!!....i like it!" and then i got soo excited when Snow and the "dwarf" (i called him Scar) got together. i laughed when that peter dude randomly went out the window

  • anyone know where i can find the sleeping beauty one like this

  • i dnt remember this movie much..but thanks to my friend lance who brought it up..

  • sig.weaver is really beautiful in this movie i think!!

  • I really want to waatch this, but when iam not sure of something , specially horror films, i look at the comments, and now i really want to watch.

  • did you watch it? was it good? when it comes to horrors im not sure if i should either lol

  • never trust anyone who givves u a puppy as soon as they meet u

  • this movie scared the jebas outta me when i was younger lol

  • This is my favorite fairy tale retelling!! Thank you for posting it :)

  • she picks up an apple not from an apple tree

  • very bloody beginning... i think better not to watch for small children

  • @mariavaleriekir why not?

  • @mariavaleriekir AMMM.. I THINK THE TITLE ITSELF TELLS "NOT FOR MINORS 14" MORE OR LESS.. THE AGE IM NOT SURE BUT.. IM GOING TO START THIS VERSION AND IM HOPING FOR A STORY THAT IS MORE... FOR ADULT MINDS XD I HOPE TO LIKE IT... I JUST LOVE TERROR HEHEHE XP

  • @mariavaleriekir well it is called tale of terror i dont think kids would wanna watch it

  • @mariavaleriekir I agree with you

  • @mariavaleriekir: It was rated R.

  • The sad thing about this version of Snow White, compared to others is that the stepmother isn't evil at first. It makes it harder to hate her, you know? And all the sadder because you can sympathize with her.

  • no she's not evil, the mirror tells her lies which makes her go crazy.

  • @EmmettCullen4pres You best not be hatin on my Weaver!

  • @MetalPharoah lol I'm not. She's actually one of my favorite actresses, and I love her role in this movie ^^ I'm just saying that her character (not her) is relatable. Or understandable at least.

  • @EmmettCullen4pres She is an awesome actress!! Spectacular for her age and I so surprised she is going to be 61 next month!

Yes, the character is understandable. The mirror is corrupting her for goodness sakes xD

  • @EmmettCullen4pres Well this is sort of how the real story goes. She is fine with snow white as long as she is not prettier than she

  • @EmmettCullen4pres,

That's what I love about the film though.

Creating a evil character is easy but making you see the sad wounded woman underneath those layers of animosity is much harder.

I'm glad they showed the character in a sympathetic light.

What I hated about the Disney version is the Evil Queen was a cardboard cutout and not very multidimensional.

  • @EmmettCullen4pres nd how the "dwarfs" r mean :(

  • Thank you soooo much <3

  • 9:29 A puppy! ...From sigourney weaver...IT'S A TRAP!!!

  • she has brown hair not black

  • i have super dark brown hair but everyone calls it black. thats just the way it is lol

  • same with me

  • i was 11 years old when i watch this movie for the first time, until now i still remember it,very great movie, thanks for post it.

  • isnt it that Lillian (the queen here?) is the antagonist in drew barrymore's happy never after? its a cinderella movie. they do look alike.

  • nah, you're thinking of Angelica Huston. It's ok, I thought Sam Neill was Meatloaf at first.

  • i watched the whole movie and I don't understand, (now don't get me wrong, English isn't my first language, I couldn't understand it all)

why does Claudia hate Lilly that much? Lilly hasn't done any bigger thing against her.

  • because they compete for attention....

  • they both vie for the attention of Friederick and Claudia blames her son being a stillborn on Lilly and starts to envy Lilly being more beautiful than herself.

  • cuz Lilly gets a lot of attention from her father

and claudia wants all the attention from her husband

  • thanks for the movie, its awesome

  • DOH. apple hanging from... was that an oak tree branch? it's a lovely image.... but oak tree! rar!

  • AngelOfMusic198822 you are awesome! thx for uploading n_n

  • omg. I know it was back then and nobody really cared what happened to the horses...but im a animal lover!! I couldnt watch those 2 parts with the horse.

  • yes that is Sam Neil he plays alen grant in jurassic park 1 and 3 and he plays in Merlin and countless other ones, he's amazing.

  • 1. dude, is that the guy from jurassic park 0.o

    2. thnx 4 posting! ^^

  • What kind of collar is Lilliana wearing when she dies?

  • @EnviedCure776 I d like to know that too

  • How the hell did they know it was a girl? was there some prophecy or did I miss the baby sonar things by a few hndred years?

  • No, in the actual fairytale, the Queen's mother wished for a girl and when she got pregnant she assumed it was a girl...And it was! LOLZ

  • i love how you upload.

  • when i was little i was so scarred of this movie!!!!

    but now i love it!!!

  • damn! this aint Disney's Snow White!

  • i love this movie!!!
