  • Loved it! I just starting making turtles this summer, Since I live in Michigan they are more box turtle and much smaller

  • I wonder how much that thing weighed!

  • Why is the vid called "honu maui hawaii " it was filmed at Glass Axis in columbus ohio.

    lolz

  • damn; i think in this turtle is so many work & money in it, that it can swim!

    nice, thank you

  • is it just me, or does it seem like his blow pipe is longer than usual?

  • awe snap, thats a nice 1

  • 最高

  • ooauuww

  • sweet

  • holy cow! man that is awesome work!

  • wow that's amazing. What was the white stuff that they were sifting on? An enamel? I'm not sure how all that works yet.

  • powder !

  • its a form of frit that produces a crackle effect

  • no its just plain ol powdered white glass the crackle comes from putting the piece into water while it was hot and cracking the surface.

  • powdered frit is a more correct term for saying powdered glass buddy. and the desired result is a crackle effect. powder frit acts many different ways when different techniques are applied to it. thanks for your grandiloquence there pal but sorry to say it was merley an echo. ;) tell me precisely which kind of "white glass" aka frit is most commonly used for this specific process and you just may redeem yourself. heh.

  • First off im not going to get into a pissing match nor do i feel the need to "redeem" myself, but watch the video again  30 seconds in you can see him giving the piece a water bath. the overlay of color a gather of clear covered in a slightly contrasting colored glass powder then dunked in water gives the crackle effect, Roger Dale and his wife use the same tech. as far as specific " white glass" possibly R61, R103 or G100.
