I stick with Catholicism in my heart, despite the infiltration of Freemasonry, because it is the oldest church -- it is the church established by Peter and Paul. Yes, Rome kept the laity in ignorance much of the time. But most people don't know how to interpret the Bible. For instance, the Book of Revelation is taught in Jewish yeshivas and is actually the Kabbalah with the name of Christ inserted into it. It contradicts Daniel and the Gospels, where Christ does not have a millenial reign on earth but returns on the last day.

"thou shall not make a graven image" is entirely connected to the worship of false gods. God does not prohibit images to be used in worship, but He prohibits the images themselves to be worshiped. I sometimes think the Roman Catholic Church is caught between Christ and Satan...and they end up dealing with both. I sometimes think the church is a war zone between good and evil. I sometimes think it's Old Testament God aka Satan v Jesus and Humanity. If the Vatican has had Satan in it's basement throughout the centuries...it's probably a miracle that they have done as well as they have...under the circumstances. Global Exorcism anyone? Satan is the real enemy...not the church.

I wish the RCC could incorporate the U.S. Constitution and the Teachings of Jesus into it's foundational documents. There is much Cannon Law which should be discarded. History needs to be rewritten, and the archives opened. This would be nearly impossible. I don't hate the church, or want to see it go away. I just would like to see the demonic realm which surrounds us, both in the air, and in the crust of the earth...exorcised from this planet in general, and the church in particular.

I stick with Catholicism in my heart, despite the infiltration of Freemasonry, because it is the oldest church -- it is the church established by Peter and Paul. I am aware of its many flaws -- such as the "cult of the Virgin," as Luther called it, and the Templar-funded Crusades. There have been many Popes who were heretical, many priests who were corrupt. There is a lot of irony within Protestantism. For instance, Luther -- like me -- denied the Book of Revelation. He said, "I do not find Christ in this book." No wonder, since Christ is described as "the morning star," that is, Lucifer.
Yet most Lutheran churches today are OBSESSED with Revelation, to the exclusion of the rest of the Bible. I can't say the Catholics are doing much better.

Yes, Rome kept the laity in ignorance much of the time. But most people don't know how to interpret the Bible. For instance, the Book of Revelation is taught in Jewish yeshivas and is actually the Kabbalah with the name of Christ inserted into it. It contradicts Daniel and the Gospels, where Christ does not have a millenial reign on earth but returns on the last day.

The RCC does not use the same Bible the Protestants use. The RCC does not honor the Word of God as the final authority in all matters pertaining to Jesus. The RCC church denies the reason Christ died, for they do not recognize the power of the Blood Atonement, and go far and wide trying to find forgiveness of sins, and they declare that if you "know" in this life that your sins are forgiven because of His Blood, they declare you a heretic and damn you to hell.

"thou shall not make a graven image" is entirely connected to the worship of false gods. God does not prohibit images to be used in worship, but He prohibits the images themselves to be worshiped. In these verses God COMMANDS us to build graven images are Exodus 25:18-22; 26:1,31. Num. 21:8-9. And if these aren't enough I can quote 20 more verses taht I could fit in here.

Why don't you read the Catechism and understand we DO NOT WORSHIP STATUES AND IMAGES! I Kings 6:23-36; 7:27-39; 8:6-67 - Solomon's temple contains statues of cherubim and images of cherubim, oxen and lions. God did not condemn these images that were used in worship.

Oh come on! Don't throw verses from the OT then when I answer you from the OT you tell me that's obsolete. I can use the same argument and logic and tell you we CAN build statues cause when god forbids it in the OT that was the OLD covenant and that's Obsolete. Further, what Paul is refering to in Hewbrews 8&9 is the jewish mosaic law(ex. circumcision). It's ok to admit you learned something and that it is ok to have these things just not worship them.

the cherubims were not used in worshipping God. When israelites worship God, those images weren't to be put in their minds as though it's the face of God. God didn't want that to happen that's why He did not show His face to anyone.

He commanded a bronze serpent be made and jews were healed just by looking at it Num 21:8-9.If you saw catholics doing that you would be jumping up and down screaming idolotry...but here is it God commanding it. that serpent was not made to represent God. That serpent was even destroyed by the king (Hezekiah i think) in the later chapters because the people used that in worship. That was made to foreshadow what will happen to Christ. He will be raised and whoever believes in Him will be saved.

A simple study of histroy shows that Catholic councils in the late 300's(nicea, hippo) determined what book belong in the bible. There were over 50 gospels. All christians holding a bible are testifying to the infallibility of the Catholic church. If you don't agree with the chruch then throw your bible away.
