Unbelievable. how steve'd even given such a huge influence in my life, an ordinary people from indonesia. not from his genius invention of ipod, iphone or ipad, but from his commencement speech in Stanford 2008. I was failed on an exam at that time, and i found his commencement video on youtube, it was literally like someone pulled me up when im drowning. im not exaggerating. because of his speech, (i even listen to it till now) i become enlighted in so many ways. Thanks Steve.

My younger brother (27YO) has always been a fan of Apple products, but since Steve Jobs’ death his behaviour has got completely out of hand.
He has a huge poster of the guy on his bedroom wall (he lives with Mom & Dad) & stares at it for hours, quietly chanting strangely while vaguely fingering 2 iPads. I keep telling my parents to do something about this, but they simper pathetically & say how ‘sweet’ it is for him to care so much about another human being rather than gadgets for a change.
Steve Jobs is one of those few people that i dont know, but will be missed when they passed away
He is a genius! Imagine just 10 years ago the first iPod was launched, and now look at the i-products! I sincerely hope Apple will just grow stronger and stronger to fulfill our needs in technology. Without Apple, without Steve Jobs...we might still be lost at somewhere 10 years ago.
RIP! And may Steve Job's spirit always be with us!
Steve jobs trying to enter, heaven and god is looking for the code in his bible to enter the gate, and guess what steve jobs says "i have an app for that"
R.I.P Steve Jobs, rest in peace, YOU were the best no fucking doubt
One of the most important people, an inventor, a Co-founder, a chairman, and the CEO of APPLE 'One of the biggest companies in the whole world' has died.
This is a SAD DAY for everyone .. We will miss U STEVE JOBS ^__^
I'm not saying that his death is not tragic or that his life is a tribute to how we see computers today. It's that we need to also be recognizing the death of an equally important person. That person is Dennis Ritchie. If this person didn't do what he has done with this life then your Apple product or your Microsoft product or even your router that brings you to this comment wouldn't even work. Ritchie is the creator of the language C and Linux. He created the gears that run technology now
@tomcat2285 I knew Dennis since early UNIX days at Bell Labs. His death is a tremendous loss. He was a very quiet and introspective person. I don't think he would have appreciated the kind of attention that surrounded Steve Jobs. Dennis was a software engineering genius. He indeed did create C, and co-created UNIX with Ken Thompson. The impact of that work is incalculably enormous. Steve Jobs was a genius in a different kind of way. Both of their deaths are enormously sad.
What annoys me is that everyone cares about Jobs' Death... whereas Dennis Ritchie who invented computers as we know them by creating C++ and Unix died around a week before Steve, and no one even knows.
@TheYoungerPerspectiv I knew Dennis since early UNIX days at Bell Labs.
Steve Jobs was a visionary,he deserved all the love and respect he got
but there was another man who deserved more credit, he is DENNIS RITCHIE....he helped shape the digital era......he created the C- programming language, UNIX OS and many more..... IOS,ANDROID and all the other major operating systems in the world are made from c-lang,UNIX etc made by Dennis....Apple wouldn't have existed without him...he died 2day, but he didn't get any attention even from the media....RIP DENNIS RITCHIE....
@harishvarma21 I knew Dennis since early UNIX days at Bell Labs.
Amazing. The last few seconds brought me to tears. The thing that shows you what a difference he made was around a third of all people found out about his death on an a device he helped create. Steve, you are missed by millions, and left a gap in the world that will be impossible to fill.
i think the one line that really impacted me the most was at 5:24 "...and its real now" The look on his face and the way he said it really shows us how much passion he had for technology and what he did. Its like he made his childhood dreams that were fictitious at the time come to life. I may have never met you in person Steve but you are someone who has definitely changed my life and have the utmost thanks for it. RIP.
What i think is amazing is how he wears the same shirt and trousers for 13 years (but seriously this is sad and shocking and you will be deeply missed)
Tunes and coffee! thanks Steve for making walks to and from work bearable and enjoyable also prevented me from buying a car and paying $5,000 a year for insurance.
I only began my Apple journey 3 days after the Passing of Steve Jobs by purchasing a MacBook Pro, I Feel like I've missed out, but its only the Beginning for Apple!
Steve Jobs has been my inspiration since I was an infant. It's very sad to see someone like him die so soon. He was lucky to live for 6 years with that terminal illness, but he is finally at peace with the world he has forged. Apple, you better carry on what Steve made. Don't let him down!
The unvielings and announcements just aren't the same without Steve Jobs... Don't take it wrong, but Tim Cook just can never measure up to what Steve Jobs was
"Remembering I'll be dead soon, is the most important tool I've encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything; all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure.. These things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important."
~ Steve Jobs (1956 - 2011) His reminder that awareness of death truly begets life. Live every day as if it was your last! Dare to dream, then go out there and make it happen! Be in peace SJ
you really don't even gotta know who Steve jobs was to make you kinda cry inside on this video ... Did anyone else notice how every different time when it got in to the 2 thousands he got thinner and thinner
Steve Jobs was definitely an inspiration.. Certainly a successful businessman, but I will not say he is visionary in technologies. The true visionaries are the researchers and other tech people who helped him .
@papaburger your barking mad...you need to conceptualize things, many technicians exost but few like jobs are visionaries...he may have been rude, but he is a tech visionary
@papaburger He is the visionary in technologies. Every researcher and tech can achieve anything, but they don't have the direction and clarity in order to make that happen.
He invent some things that people are not expecting but adds value to them.
@papaburger Except for the fact that he brought about the era of personal computing, touchscreen smartphones, and tablets. The technology for capacitive touchscreens existed for over 40 years, and the cell phone industry was content on staying exactly where it was: Basic feature flip phones and BlackBerry. The technology was sitting there, rotting, for decades, until Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone. Android was released in response to iPhone. Do your research before spewing out your sewage.
@papaburger yes but the ideas are from him so that makes him a true tech visionary..remember that without idea, there would be nothing..it all starts at the idea thing.
@papaburger Steve was the one who thought up most of this shit and told his engineers to design what he'd thought up in his head, which they did. But a lot of the ideas were his. Take the iPad for example... he saw the MS tablets with the stylus and thought they were shit, so told his engineers to build him one without a stylus and to put the keyboard on screen using multi-touch. It took 'em about 6 months, but they did it, and the iPhone was the first product launch w/ that design.
@papaburger He may not have known how to implement what he wanted but make no mistake it was his vision that Apple was implementing. He drove many of the features in Apple products and pushed the engineers to come with solutions to his requests that they didn't believe they could make. It's ridiculous how heavily involved he was in all aspects of development unlike most CEO's who really are just businessmen. Being a visionary doesn't require he be a good engineer (and vice versa)
It's amazing to see his key public moments in one video. Really amazing. But you can also notice the steady decline in his health. Makes you sad.
And the last few seconds are heart-ripping. In March he knew his condition was terminal. He knew this was his final performance. And he went through it like a lion-heart. Brave man. Great man.
I watch this video with a tear in my eye. Steve Jobs thank you for everything you have given us, and rest in peace. You were an amazing person and a true visionary.
Steve Jobs was An Inspiring person to the world. Without him Microsoft would have no one to copy and we probably would not have computers until now. R.I.P Steve Jobs.
Shit man, that's waay too fekkin' young to 'go.' My brother Steve-J left us at age 59 & that was waay to young to 'go' too. God Bless'em both & Steve Jobs for all the phenomenal contributions to modern technology he made AFTER he invented them himself! R.I.P. Steve J's ,~_~\\

"The "i" represents a change in human physiological behavior... One from that of “community” and “group thinking” to that of the all important “me”.

this is a different very interesting twist on things if this is indeed true.

@papaburger if they were visionaries too, the world today would be more high tech and advanced. I believe Steve Jobs was more greater than them

why do you have to leave comments like this, he changed the way we live, what have you done?

@papaburger A visionary is a person who comes up with the idea.. not someone who figures out, how to do it.. have a nice day, nub.

Brave man. Great man.
