  • keep in mind guys... this was written long ago. her version of cant say no is probably giving a guy a kiss.. nothing dirty like what goes on now.

  • dirty dirty dirty slu...

  • I can't stop looking at her boobs.

  • 2 people can say no....

  • I like how the ear of corn is pre-shucked !!! convenient ! Ado Annie is sort of pre-shucked, too.

  • boobs!

  • I legitimately have this problem.. With her figure and everything.

  • You guys are all missing the point. The original by Celeste Holm is so effective because she doesn't do anything until she gets to the parts of the tune that refer to suppressing her urges and it's like she can't help it, she starts to move. Look at the end where she says '......I have a funny feeling that I won' She can't suppress the movement that seems to come naturally. It's actually brilliant.

  • Love this version more than movie's

  • cendrillon325, just a question, what does it say in the description, the Chinese and Japanese part?

  • @savasahottie5 Rodgers & Hammerstein musical "Oklahoma!" More Adoani number "and say No is." Studio Shot by 1998 London Cast version. Seats - are synthesized.

  • @savasahottie5

It's the same as the English description.

  • WOOOW!!!! She's amazing and incredibly sexy!!!! this is BY FAR the best version on YouTube!

  • best version ever!!:)

  • Better than the film! the other is sooooo boring!!!

  • I love this version.

  • my computer froze when laurey pushed Ado annie!! It was funny

  • cover yer bins woman xD

  • this is so much better than the one in the film!!! i love her!

  • This is a perfect performance of Ado Annie. I love how she uses everything and everybody around her to make her performance 100%! Fantastic job!

  • I love this, she has that perfect country sort of tone

  • Im Doing this play for school ! Though Im not playing Ado Annie.... Im actually playing Laurey ! :D Either way I love this musical. Hope I can actually do a good job(:

  • This version is all wrong. I understand this is a stage production in a large theater. But this is horribly oversung, too broadly acted, and the accent is all wrong. Gloria Grahame's version in the 1955 movie is far more appropriate to the character. I can't understand why people prefer this

  • @DFDalton1962 Because Gloria Grahame puts no emotion into it, and her voice sounds awful. Vicky may overact, but I'd rather someone overacted than not at all. And I love her voice.

  • @DFDalton1962

    Are you tone deaf?

Or is it because that Gloria girl's singing made you deaf?

  • @DFDalton1962 Because she did not fit the character at all and sung horrible. She just stood their doing nothing. She is not a good actress

  • this song is fantastic! it lends itself to fabulously funny moves and she does them all!!!!!!! she's the BEEEEEEST!!!!!!!

  • the other girl is a rubbish actress lol

  • awesome!!! i'm auditioning with this piece soon and i'm going to use this version to take some tips!!

  • LOL ooh wow this is the best ever! She looks like a mixture between my vocal coach and Cecilia Bartoli lol

  • holy tits

  • this is the bestttttt!!!

  • wow I love this version! Vicki is so adorable lol. and her expressions are amazing!

  • she has so much personality. it's so great i love this version. :D

  • The best I've seen... better than the movie. Everything is nice about her...

  • Favorite song (:

  • maybe the men wouldn't take advantage of you all the time if you didn't flash... Just sayin'... it's my opinion.

  • Superb! Love this version.

  • This song is sooooooooo much better in this play than in the movie!

  • gloria offered a more "sexy" version i think. this girl seems a bit more hokey and stupid. i much prefer the 1955 movie. its just a matter of taste.

  • Playing annie in my schools musical in march :) cant wait :)

  • @xXMsBieberXx my school is doing oklahoma in march too

  • @TheNJGamers Really What dates ? it would be scary if they were the same dates ! :L

  • @xXMsBieberXx the 11th and 12th

im playing a background character named slim

  • @TheNJGamers Awh mines the 9th 10th and the 11th :D awh cool he has a couple of lines :)

  • @xXMsBieberXx being a freshman any lines are good lines

  • @TheNJGamers whats a freshman :L ?

  • @xXMsBieberXx a person in their first year of highschool

  • @TheNJGamers oh okay ! :L im from from ireland so .. yeah ! :L

  • Nah! Not gettin' all you 1955 haters (lol..kidding). Gloria offered a very credible interpretation of Annie...and it was consistent with the character in the rest of the movie. It's just different. I prefer it. :-)

  • she looks like she is about to explode on the really high notes

  • no dislikes... DAYMN STRAIGHT NO DISLIKES

  • OMG IMMA TRYINF OUT IN MY SCHOOL PLAY AND REALLY WANNA GET ANNIE

  • I would love to play her in a musical, she is so fun and ditzy

  • she is awesome

  • accent overdone. but she moves around well like the character is supposed to :)

  • Comment removed

  • I prefered Gloria Grahame because she was genuinely funny in the role and in her numbers, she nailed the accent, she looked great and she was...Gloria Grahame! But I can say nothing bad about this historic London Production. If it were still playing with the original cast, I would try to fly there tomorrow to see it!

  • @Hijodelaisla ......that's called stage acting.... everything is over the top....

  • @KrzyGirl That's called bad stage acting.

  • @Hijodelaisla It's called wonderful stage acting! :D She's so great!

  • @Hijodelaisla I think if you were 100 feet away in the audience rather than in a camera zoomed in to close-up, you'd be more appreciative of her over-the-top (read: actually visible) facial changes.

  • @ratchet1215

People don't understand how Theatre acting works haha.

  • Ado Annie in this production is just soooo funny! Much better than Gloria Grahams in the movie Okalhoma. This Ado Annie is very animated and I live her chuckle. Really a fun character to play. And this Ado Annie is soooo adorable! Thanks for posting this

  • She...Is...Amazing.

Only recently discovered this film version, and her part as Ado Annie is truly marvelous. How i would love to be cast in this role in our local production of Oklahoma..

  • This version is the most amazing !! SOOOOOO much better than the original film

  • a true ado annie.....truley outrageous! not prim and pretty....love it!

  • LOVE THIS

  • you know, because of this chick, I couldn't focuse on my math test! Ah!!!! shes in my head!!

  • this girl Annoys the crap out of me!

  • love it

  • Best version of the song :)

  • No intention to roast, but doesn't the song basically say that she's a whore?

  • its not roasting. its being a dumbass. not a dumas, a full out, slack jawed, donkey raping shit eater.

  • @Raynes355 I think she's saying that she has hormones, and society is telling her she isn't supposed to have hormones, so she's confused about it.

  • @Dollypig She also implied that she's a virgin when she was speaking about Ali, that he wanted to spend the night with her, and that meant that he wanted to marry her.

  • I sung this song when I was Ado Annie lol good times ;)

    xx great vid :)

  • i was Ado Annie and this musical! i love the character of Ado Annie shes so fun!! i love this ado annie!!! :) shes the best! i was pretty good at Ado Annie too!

  • Her british accent is slipping through the southern accent

  • Haha, the look on Laurey's face is priceless! :D

  • i love this musical!!! my schools doing it for the spring. I want to get Ado Annie soooooooo badly!!!!!

  • @TheHorse316 my high skels doing it also!

  • I agree with you, except for the comment that Laurie isn't as good as the other cast members! I think she's fantastic!

  • ado annie is so gorgeous... i watched this play twice but i think laurie isnt as good as the others which is a shame

  • I heard it was about the 'Editing' to make the production 'tight or short enough to fit on the video... which is now on DVD'?

  • I have also spoken to people who queued up for over a block to try and get 'left over' tickets... here is a bit of trivia.... it was John Travolta's wife who saw the show with a friend when visiting England who told her husband about this amazing young man named Hugh Jackman. Travolta then became interested / a friend and then opened all the doors for Hugh in America.

  • What I absolutely hate is how they added in the audience later. It would have been better filmed live.

    But the production is awesome.

  • @OohcoolProductions

What do you mean, added in the audience? I thought this was filmed live?

  • They filmed it, then filmed an audience later, and added them in. It looks live, but it wasn't (Which explains why there's no laughter or applause or anything from the audience until a scene is over.)

  • i saw this at the Chichester Festival Theatre it was amazing

  • This is how Ado Annie should be. The gal in the movie just STANDS there.

  • And the film Annie is tone dea and shows no emotion lol

  • @OohcoolProductions thts a movie and this a broadway show and there is a big difference the annie from the film is an actor and this a professional singer and there are many differences in the movie and the broadway show

  • @katguid2005 Still. The actress who played her in the film had a tin ear and was very dull to watch. There really is no way around that, film or show.

  • This is my favorite Ado Annie by far.

  • @JeffyJeffjeffm31191 ik shes terrible! Shes tone deaf, i heard they fed almost EVERY note to her and her upper lip was paralized... what were they thinking?!

  • @JeffyJeffjeffm31191 yer and she has no facial expression either! This girl is good!

  • @JeffyJeffjeffm31191

Quite right! I have never understood why Gloria Grahame was cast for the part in the film version.

She actually spoils the film for me.

Now, this theatre Gal has real spirit! A great performance.

  • @JeffyJeffjeffm31191 yeah your right

  • @JeffyJeffjeffm31191 again this is a broadway show and she was told not to act like the movie

  • @JeffyJeffjeffm31191 I agree! It also seems to me that - I know this is mean - that the lady who plays Ado Annie in the movie isn't pretty enough. She's supposed to be super hot. It doesn't make sense for all of the guys to be all over the lady in the movie.

  • Why is Laurey wearing overalls?!

  • She was in our production as well. She was working when Ado Annie shows up.

  • In Nunn's production (this one), Laurie was portrayed as a semi-rebellious tomboy. The first time she's in a dress is at the end of Act One, during "Out of My Dreams". A choice that really worked in this production.

  • each production is different......maybe it helps her be noticed more and not get lost in the other girls.
