yes the show finished after the third season and no brennan and emma did not end up together but she ened up with this guy but he died in the same eposide that she met him.

Emma isn't dead.
Well, she was. Death was needed, in order for her to undergo metamorphosis and attain her ultimate potential.
Her corpse was stolen by an associate from the morgue before it could be dissected/embalmed, then chilled to prevent decay from setting in.
She eventually regenerated, and became more powerful than she ever could have imagined.
And she became twisted. Evil.
That's what I believe, anyway.
Season 4 would have proved me correct.
