I first saw this on a Canadian tv show when I was in junior high, yonder back in '78 or so. I had no idea who David Gilmour was, but I thought this long-haired guitarist with the smokey voice and laid-back manner was the coolest guy on earth. "That's who I want to be," I said.
I've seen this tour in Montreal 1984. Funny how ignored he was back then without the Floyd, beside how much he was and has always been so much part of the Floyd. Fame rules overs genius! Or maybe not. Great artist, great guitarist.
