why would someone complain if an individual doesn't give their groceries which were collected with coupons to food banks or other organization. Well folks these organizations can put together their own team of extreme couponers to do the same thing. Yes the salvation army can do this, feed the children can do this also. In addition to collecting money these organizations could except coupon donations also.

disturbing? really? there is a difference though. one is except able, organized and useful. the other is unacceptable, disgusting, an eye sore, unlivable and just plain dirty. i'd rather be the extreme coupon type rather than the dirty slobs of the hoarding or obsessive compulsive disorder.

It is absolutely disturbing, a form of hoarding, and obsessive. When a person dedicates their time to cutting coupons rather than being a productive member of society, I find that very disturbing. It's not necessary for anyone to transform their house into a stockpile, which I find to be an eyesore. And by adding to a stockpile is hoarding! Just because it is organized doesn't make it acceptable at all. The type of person who behaves this way is a classic example of OCD.

There is nothing frugal about those stacks of disposable diapers. I bought $100 worth of prefold diapers, the old fashioned kind, made some covers myself with about $20 supplies. In 4 years this is all I've had to buy. Now that is frugal. Washing them is almost free because we use homemade soap, well water is free, and you can line dry. And the sun naturally whitens them so no need for bleach or harsh chemicals.
