@skylilly1 I know what you mean...it is as if you can feel yourself in mourning...experiencing the death of your beloved mother, or another person dear to your heart. I go into trance while listening to this, and when I snap out of it, my face is covered with tears. No other piece of music has affected me the way this does.

Great, great song and great interpretation by the usually impeccable Maria Callas... I'd just like to point out that she got one possessive adjective wrong at 3:34: she said "io sto sul MIO cammino e ti sorreggo" instead of "io sto sul TUO cammino e ti sorreggo". I've found both versions online and I think that "tuo" is more appropriate in this situation. I've also looked for other versions of Maria Callas, and she always says "mio". Montserrat Caballe says "tuo", instead.
