Great movie - well done Mr Anthony Hopkins for bringing this wonderful story of one mans accomplishments to someone who wouldn't have known otherwise - this is why movies are made and remembered, one of your finest performances.
Burt Munros record for under 1000cc still stands to this day - legend.
he made his rods out of truck axels this guy was detirmened my hat is off to him there is no limit to what a person can do if you put your mind to it
How relieving it is to know this is no Hollywood make-believe. There are no heroes anymore, and Burt was probably the last one. This is having a gifted mind and two balls of steel. Let's all look up to him.
@Pitumisio If you want to see another hero...and yes, there still are a few about, have a look at John Britten, and his V1000, that beat Ducati, and all the others, in the 90's. (Tragically ended life, but his legacy is fantastic) I wish I knew both of them. God bless.
great story..just saw the movie 'The World's Fastest Indian'...quite touching and completely accurate. Thought I'd look him up..and found all this about him.
