Sorry, I just won't stop commenting on this! What I think is most troublesome to me about this is the sample itself. I think if you could somehow find an orchestration of this with selectively placed accents, it would mesh better with the 4/4 time. I'm totally uncertain of this, however. Anyway, I really like the concept and enjoy the track more than I originally thought I did. :)

And though I also prefer virtuosity to skillful sample manipulation, I do think that a successful reconception of a piece does require some talent. Electronic beats add a different "texture" to music than can be produced organically.

That being said, I think that a heavier bass sound would have been more pleasing. But the 6/8 vs. 4/4 time collision intrigues, rather than bothers me. I wouldn't mind a re-do.

However, that is not to say that a live drum accompaniment could not achieve the same task (at least theoretically) while satisfying the preferences of those who enjoy instrumental performances. This is like pissing on hallowed ground to me; this song is one of the most emotionally charged pieces of msuic in cinema and this just turns it into what? Another dubstep song - no emotion, no feeling, just something to bump uglies and drink cheap beer to.

@IwantShawn Sorry, I'm "on fire" this morning (as well as lacking a social life... -_- ) . Anyway, I would not say that a dubstep interpretation of any piece necessarily removes a song's emotional impact. Depending on how the remix is done, the reinterpretation can either diminish, redirect, or merely "re-texture" the mood of a sample. For me at least, the ideal dubstep remix changes the environment surrounding the sample while not dramatically redirecting its emotional impact. They do exist.

Yeah but obviously the song was sped up and his person has no Musical talent what so ever to call it a "Remix". I listened to it for up to 13 seconds and stopped listen to the original it's obviously better and is an insult to the composer to try to "Remix" this terribly, and you can see why people are insulting this.

Difference here is that I'm actually playing the music with a instrument. Which requires more skill than sitting down on a computer and using MIDI and letting the computer play it for me, and loop it you have no idea what musical talent is. Also by looking at your profile you don't have any room to talk. The only videos you have up is shit you didn't even do, let alone the shit you do have uploaded is already on youtube so you're wasting space and time.

@master2873 It is true that playing a musical instrument requires more physical-technical skill than arranging sounds with computer software. However, while both efforts aim to produce pleasing music, they approach the problem differently. While a musician performs an interpretation of the piece from theory/melody that is already established, a dubstep producer adds beats to that theory/melody, adding percussion, if you will, to where there had been none before. Dubstep remixes may be considered
