I'm sick and tired of these stupid husband/smart wife commercials. They're one type among many types of commercials that advertisers use to market to women by denigrating men. Verizon has the ad where the father can't ad, or is told off by his wife when he's pestering his daughter with her homeowork, etc. It's pretty sick that cingular/verizon develop marketing campaigns centered around the denigration of one group in order to appeal to another.
I am totally with you. Think of all the centuries that men have faced such discrimination and bias. If women had their way we would be in the kitchen washing dishes. It's time men stand up against the oppressive system which has kept us down since the dawn of time.
P.S. You're a retard that can't even spell "add" correctly.
Don't look at the spelling, look to see whether the message is congruent. You seem to be quite a sarcastic extremist. There are many ways in which men have also been restricted due to their prescribed roles. You seem to think that discrimination is wrong. I agree. Why don't you apply that principle equally to all groups?
Because people are incapable of doing so. Let's face it. The liberation of one leads to the discrimination of another. Sadly enough, there is no way that people can treat others without any bias.
@Kf1Re4Rfe7Mate You are too much. Do you know what a joke is? This is a JOKE. They're not stereotyping, they're not making some grand metaphor for American lifestyles. They're creating a humorous ad to sell some phones!
You're the same type of person who reads themes into Tolkien when he specifically wrote in the preface that it's just a story...NO THEMES.
I don't get what he said. O.O

Has anyone else noticed that commercials invariably are filmed in the "female gaze?"

Yeah, but if you do it the other way it's sexism.
Sadly enough...
