I envy those who were lucky enough to see The Beatles when they were still playing in clubs. I heard someone recently describe what it was like in the Cavern the first time The Beatles played there after having cut their teeth in Hamburg. He said everyone was dumbfounded by the intensity of their live performance and that nothing like it had ever been seen before in Liverpool. That would have been great to see.
