Some water master she battled Zuko at night with a full moon and still lost. You can't assume victory until your about is dead. Though Zuko is just awsome. Zuko doesn't rise with the sun, the sun rises with Zuko.

@BloodOrchid Are you serious? You can't judge Katara when she was fighting him at the North pole while still training. She wasn't fully a master of it yet. Opposed to Zuko who has been training much longer than her. Besides, she did win that fight. It was only when the sun rose that he got her when she wasn't looking. By the time you get to book 3 she's pretty much mastered waterbending and has successfully taken on Azula at a time. Don't bash someone if you hardly know anything.

Water bending is based off of Tai Chi so you could study that martial art and be a "water bender"

I think you misunderstood me. The creators of Avatar based each of the four elemental bending "styles" on a particular style of martial art- for waterbending they based the movements the characters use to channel their powers off of the movements of Tai Chi.

If you had seen the episode, you'd have seen the last blade she sent forth at him that god cut out of this video. It comes inches from his face.

If it was zero challenge for him, theres no reason for him to begin to respect Katara. Sure, she has the attitude, but there was nothing swaying to a bitter man like him.

Of course I've seen that, but from the expression on his face, he rather finds it surprising that she got that close, not that he'd ever actually be hit by it, or that there were any chance.

And if YOU'D seen the episode, you'd hear him say she has skill. A true master can racognize true skill, whether it's old, young or from a master or an apprentice. But because of tradition, it's the necklace that does the case.

Appearances, personalities. If you look at how much air bending has changed, it's laughable.

Aang used to just twirl his staff over his head and spin people above him and launch them...

Now he picks up two fans, and begins to spin violently in Ba Gua style, until throws his energy forth, and launching Zuko through both sides of a small hut.

I always thought it was funny because when people are making the elements in different universes, Water, Fire, and usually Earth are always constants, while Air ends up being interchanged with lightning or storm for some odd reason.

I never get why air is put together with that, either, and it really annoys me. I think fire and lightning goes well together for several reasons, the first being one that explains why a cartoon would make it; because when lightning hits the ground, it makes fire. The other is that fire and lightning doesn't have any physical form until they're created by someone, or something, and both of them are created from some sort of pressure.
