The romans in his videos don't do a lot of strategy lol. As you can see, only a few Calvary hid in the woods. The 90% of the roman empire walked toward the rebels like a giant wave. Tustudo formation is very weak to calvary charge. Along with hand to hand combat when in that position.I don't see how the rebels could've won. Romans had elite Legionary Cohorts. Against Barbarian Mercenaries, and a couple thousand of Chosen Swordsmen. Theres got to be a mistake there.

The "shield thing" known as testudo (tortoise in latin) protects the Romans from arrows on all sides

the british empire, was not that much of an empire, because they mainly hadf colonies, they didn't own the countries they only controlled them like the french empire at the same time, most of the colonies were ruled by kings etc ...

so the largest empire was the mogols, they owned and ruled over the largest territory.

As stated, the British Empire was the largest, however, the Mongol Empire is a close second. I'm not sure which place the Roman Empire would rank, but it is probably in fourth place or so. Alexander's Empire actually wasn't very large in comparison to these other empires, however, what makes it so remarkable is that he conquered it in 7 years. It took these other empires well over a century to reach their height.

nope, as i hate to say it the british empire was the largest at 33.6 million km. the next closest was the mongol empire at 33.2 million km. The largest ancient empire was the Achaemeneid Empire, under darius (persian), and roman empire ranking 5th and 5.9 million km. The mongols were the largest contiguous empire, so i deem them the largest as they controlled a large area, not dispersed like the british

It was more than just Germans that beat them in the end it was most of europe rising up to fight the empire sure it was germanic tribes that sacked rome but thats mostly just because the capital was weak most of thier legions were off pacifying the uprising barbarians to the north

its not that hannibal was god or anything its just that he was able to take an army march from spain to the italian penninsula and march it right into the heart of the roman empire sure his cavlry played a big part but none the less he was able to take an army half way across europe through the alps and still manage to fight the romans and win servral times plus the romans had the advantage of a strong supply line hannibal was completely cutoff inthe end more than half his army was highrd mercs
