It will be 5 years on August 25th since my dad passed. I remember we were never close when I was growing up. When he got sick I got to help mom with him. We got to know each other all over again. I only had about 1 month with him but we made up for lost time. I miss him so much. I remember listening to this song for the first time. I cried for hours. I love song. I lost my dad 5 years ago and this song really hits home for me. I hadn't listened to it in a while and when I did the other day, I realized that the last verse is exactly what my life is now. I am getting married in July and my dad never got to meet him. This one makes me think of my cousin Sarah, who when her dad passed away tragically, asked to send a balloon up to heaven to her father. Then this song came out and reminded me of her doing that as a kid. Plus it makes me think of losing my own father a few years ago.

My dad died July 4th 2003 in a car accident. The first time i heard this song was at my 13th birthday, three years ago, and i ran inside from the pool and cried my eyes out. I listened to it over and over again. I'm very strong about his death, but we all have our moments. @vivian0710 Aww :'( Im soo sorry. I feel for anyone whos lost someone, i lost my aunt from cancer when i was 8, Although thats prob. not as bad as losing a dad :(
