It may have been a minor hit in her home country the UK reaching only number 50 on the charts but it was a huge hit in America. Coincidentally "To Sir With Love" by another great British female Singer Lulu was number 1 in America for 10 weeks but was never even on the charts in the UK

I was being groomed for AFOCS in early 70's but it was interupted by a severe alcohol addiction that I never recovered from until 2002. Thank you so much for your heroic service to America. I am 52 and I was born 9/58. Songs such as this is some of my favorite music. Nobody writes good music anymore.
