  • If you are going to keep the fish, spearing it is more humane. However, if u blow at spearing a fish like the above, and it swims around for 20min with a spear thru its gut not dead, dont u think that hurts a bit more than a hook in its lip? I mean feel free to disagree, you will only make yourself look like more of a fool. The only way this is more humane than line fishing is if its an instant kill.

  • filmed with a toaster?

  • @alekscee hilarious!

  • smoked marlin !! MMMM

  • lol wtf? ppl still keep marlin every now and again from regular fishing u know.. every1 watching is freaking out all of a sudden talking about dont kill marlin etc... where were u guys 5-10 years ago? i dont remember this kind of responses

  • the marlin should not be attacked like this...

  • @turbobrain ...You've never ever eaten fish?

  • @OutdoorDreamer733 it is like killing a LION with a sniper rifle..should not be done...I say if you are going to catch a marlin, catch it the old fashion way with a hook...

  • @turbobrain LMAO, so your saying they should die slowly and painfully with a hook in their mouth, rather than being speared a couple times and dying? Lol.

  • @OutdoorDreamer733 actually, fish that get hooked dont tend to have any long term injuries and or even get "hurt". the only time a hook does damage to a fish is if its completely swallowed which doesnt happen often(if you know how to fish). Otherwise all a hook and reel does is tire a fish out. so long as its revived it goes about its business unharmed, unless youre gonna eat it lol.

  • @bdrizzle1989 Okay.. but how about when they want to eat a fish? I'll tell you this-- NO ONE stabs a fish in the head. Usually they go into shock and die, or sometimes suffocate in a bucket. A spear kills em' real quick with a good shot.

You are the biggest idiot troll I've ever met. "It's okay to hook a fish and tire it out then let it suffer till' it dies, but it's cruel to put a spear in their head."

  • @OutdoorDreamer733 um the spear isnt in the fishes head...and wtf does this have to do with being a troll im telling u the truth i go fishing all the time lol. ive hooked and released thousands of fish. spearing a fish in the gut or on top of its body wont kill it itll only hurt it. if u think a fucking hook in its lip will hurt more than have a spear put through a portion of its body then u sir are just down right retarded.

  • @bdrizzle1989 Wow. LMAO.

  • @bdrizzle1989 I spear them all the time through the brain and it doesnt hurt them because I coat my shaft with petroleum jelly before I thrust it in. They have a small brain and I have a big shaft so it works out well.

Never had a fish die yet, Catch and release ftw!

  • @MrSheissen1 You spear fish but let them go?

  • @bdrizzle1989 Actually your statement is fucking retarded. Put a hook through your lip then shoot yourself with a speargun. Which one is more likely to kill? And you might be right. Spearing it in the gut or top of the body might not kill it... for the first 30 min. But trust me, after leaving it, it WILL die. Don't be a disgrace, Eat what you shoot.

  • @Kent133 Thats my point exactly you dumbass.. The jackass before you was stating fish will die easier from getting hooked than speared. If your'e going to eat your catch, spearing is the more "humane" option, IF you get the proper shot. If you shoot the bitch in its belly, well I think you get the idea.

  • @bdrizzle1989 You said catch and release ftw while talking about spearing it. If you're a spearo and you catch and release, you're not even in it for the sport. So who's side are you on? You seem to be contradicting yourself

  • @turbobrain the old fashion way is with a spear

  • i hope that someone ate it....otherwise a waste

  • catch and release should be the only way to treat fishing for fish this magnificant!

  • why would you shoot a marlin? stupid

  • @SonTannerProductions why not?

  • @BallerzTV never though of that... haha

  • long veicle :D

  • No I was just rephrasing my last comment

  • you don't spear a fish

  • lol. yeah you do!

  • ok that guy has no brain i don't care if you are a good shot you spear a fish that is BIGGER than you

  • what are u trying to say?

  • Well, I'll be damned. That was unreal spearing!

  • jaramil why is he an idiot? cause he can do it and you can't. its called game spearfishing. fcuk off homo. why are u even on this video.....u obviously enjoy some part of it otherwise you wouldnt even have searched for it. stop spamming crap homo

  • so mature....

  • idiot razorboy6666!

  • You are right!

Who is so stupid and kill a blue marlin?

    And then with a spear!

I Think Marlins are one of the greatest fishes.

  • lmao

  • i only have one word for this vid HARDCORE!!!!

  • I looked hard and couldn't see him holding onto anything "invisible". There are very few marlin taken like this. I don't know if cowardly is the right word as bill fish can be aggro and turn on a diver. Sailfish and blue marlin especially. Often when marlin are there so are sharks. I think it takes a bit more balls than standing in a boat. But I don't wish to take anything away from boat catches... there is a lot of skill in that too.

  • Well written Joe! Whatever...

  • Yes the guy holds on to something invisible from 0:04 to 0:07. hero!

  • I think what your referring to is him switching hands on the handle....

  • I this fish hooked before hand?

  • Not normally, they use hookless lures to attract a marlin in close to the boat then when they see the fish off the back they jump in and shoot it. They DONT hook the fish first. Fish caught in this manner are not eligible for records.
