This sounds like pseudoscience and bullshit. But mostly bullshit. References please....Especially the 'mushrooms think' statement. BS meter just exploded.
SO since it's high in copper it's easy to believe that these plants/mycylium what ever they are called are intelligent or sentient. Because the brain itself is copper and carbon. Mushrooms are copper so far as we know because scholars do not know much about mushrooms if anything at all besides the fact that they cure cancer.
Check out Dr Sebi. In fact you guys should link up.He was the one whom I heard say that Mushrooms are not a fungus they are a mucellium network. He said if they were a fungus they would eat away at you and not heal you. He teaches your body needs minerals. When I looked up the mineral composition in mushroom I notice it was good for copper which is what the brain needs and it has potassium which is what the muscles are made of and also selenium which I forget what it's good for.continue..
Love eye-opening videos like this one. OldWorld everything-in-nature-are-unintelligent-clockwork-turds views are rather stubborn, even for someone whos experienced the Divine Power of Nature firsthand
@JvampDude Yeah, after 15 seconds I assumed this guy would be giving testamonial to the power of psychedelics. Luckily I kept watching as I have knowlege(be it limited)of the subject. IMO mycelium is the most advanced and important organism on earth. And he is right it was the first organism on land and it paved the way for us all.
@Nebulaah the song they used is "Society" By" Eddie Vedder.. i believe he is the lead singer of Pearl Jam but did some music on his own... it is a beautiful song!!!
@TheRawvoice The inability to recognise faces and voices is symptom indicative of autism, aspeurgers and several other 'spectrum' issues. You oughtta get that checked out.
He looks like a cross between Pipi Longstocking and an elf from Lord of the Rings.
Oh, and dear reader--mushrooms can't "rearrange their DNA at will". If someone demonstrated something like that they'd win the Nobel Prize. Mushrooms have intercellular communication, but that's not 'thought'.
@hanserclimbs You should read Paul Stamets' books. They DO think! Experiments done for a $10,000 prize in UK. Someone put fungus mold before a maze. Its food was at the other end of the maze. The FIRST time the fungus went through the it went in all directions equally until it got food. Then they used the same fungus again with the same maze, again putting it at the very beginning. The second time the fungus took just ONE -- correct -- path straight to the food. This experiment won the prize!
How is it possible to prove the that mushroom has consciousness and can think? Sounds rather mystical and outrageous. Can someone please explain this to me? I'm compelled to know.
@Thill1116 - It's directly related to the individual experience when connected or dosed so to speak, on psilocybin. It's subjective, purely. We can only direct our consciousness to provide that viewpoint, but in my estimation, you cannot scientifically prove such thing. I don't see the manner to do so anyways, or why someone would want to. Most Natives of different cultures are on the same page, keep an oral tradition, and keep the science at arms length. This is spirituality, basically.
@Thill1116 You'd have to redefine the dimensions of thought. I'm not sure yet if I agree with this fellow, although the idea has triggered fascination in me. I do not rule out that the structure of fungi does not rule out some sort of basic reflex-like behavior over long distances though, as per the nutrients to sick trees anecdote (which I would like to see proof of).
hehe, love the backup vocalist :D.... wow, this makes me want to learn more about mushrooms.... I've always thought they are very mysterious, like crystals.....
What a load of horseshit lol. Mushrooms don't think. They are not conscious organisms. Never get your science from a person wearing a cape.

I was expecting a psychedelics talk, but this will do. I have seen indications that fungus was the first form of life on this planet.

Interesting that a mycelial network can feed nutrients to trees a mile away. great video, thanks.
