  • @samkap484 : then please pardon my comment. I know what you're referring to now. It's funny when one nation needs to hate another as a reason to exist.

  • @samkap484 : Great artists like Rafi sahab, Sehgal sahab were not in a cock fight! I am very Indian, very Hindu, and a big Rafi fan. This does not interfeare with my love for Sehgal or India.

    Grow up!

  • Arzaadmirza: thank u for being polite. It tells how well brought up u are. Ability to sing high notes is a very rare gift. Many people can sing this song. Only Rafi, mahinder kapok, sonu nigh am and manna dye have shown high notes in their songs. Mukesh has not gone over the third octave, nor has Lata. If u want to listen to high notes, then please listen to noor jehan in the film Azra, " kuch bhe na kaha, kuch keh bhe gayay". Noor takes up her voice in 4 stages up to the fourth octave. Rafi do

  • @Milahi1935 : I hope you derive special pleasure from high notes, it certainly occupies a lot of your mindspace and I hope in the intesests of your time that it gives you unusual pleasure. If not, enjoy every note, every voice!

  • You people don't know the facts,... it seems that you think that mukesh could not have sung this song... mwuhahau mukesh could sing this with ease.. but @ the time of ambar mukesh was trying to make a carreer as an actor, he didn't sing he was working on movie Mashuqa which aired in 1953.. please get your facts right before you comment nonsense here, Mukesh also sung for Shammi,Sunil, and other rafi voice actors,.. doesn't mean rafi couldn't sing those.. noobs

  • a thousand latas will not equal one percent RAFI SAHABS VOICE

  • @versatilias Lata equals rafi 100% lol

  • Almost all of Lata songs are in low or medium notes. I have not heard her take her voice up up and away. The music composers gave her only low or medium notes to sing, probably knowing that her delicate vocal chords would not produce the high notes. Most people don't know that Lata could not sing very high notes. Hence we should reserve our judgment as to her greatness. I feel that Asha and Suman are better singers because they can sing those very high notes.

  • @Milahi1935 mwuhahahaahah you must be tone deaf !

Lata jee could sing any type of songs

Asha jee has the same range as lata, i think lata"s range goes even further than asha's

the only diffrence between the two is the voice.

Lata could reach very high notes, but hitting high notes is almost like screaming( rafi in o duniya ke rakhvale)

and it doesn't suit a heroin to scream and sing, heroins are more sensitive and softer

  • @arzaadmirza @milahi1935 forgive me for my rude comment, did not see your age.

  • Rafi has made this happy tune even happier. Lata is also good but did not get enough to sing in this duet. I wish the music composer had added some high notes at the end of the song to make the tune even better. The composers of that era either could not blend high notes into their tunes or could not find too many singers who could sing high notes. Indian music would have been even better with blending of high notes. Lata has not shown high notes in the majority of her songs, which were sung in

  • Lata always sounds so flat when she sings along with Rafi Sahab, she is always subdued with his melodious voice, all Kafirs dont mind as the people who are partial and knows music can understand what i mean

  • this song of film Ambar, was picturied on Raj Kapoor, about which Mukesh was called his voice, but Mohammad Rafi sungs a number of songs for Raj Kapoor. This is one example.

  • muhammad rafi ki awaz hi kafi hay

kisi song ko hit karne k liye

  • dit is fucking lachwekkend :D

  • If you listen carefully, Raj Kapoor himself had a deep talking voice. Rafi had a deep singing. On the other hand, Mukesh had a nasal voice. It's just that Raj Kapoor had a huge hit song in his first production, Aag, Zinda Hoon Is Tarah Ke Gham e Zindagi Nahin, that made the media of that time, label Mukesh as Raj's "Ghost" voice. That's how people began to think that only Mukesh would be better for Raj Kapoor. It's all that simple. :-)

  • @RealMusicKing

And Mukesh & RK learnt classical music from the same guru, made RK partial to Mukesh. It is also said that when Naushad decided on Mukesh for Dilip and Rafi for RK, RK tried hard to get Naushad change his mind, but to no avail.

  • @ChrisLawNZ in case of o p nayyar scorer do ustad raj kapoor after listening the tunes started humming & dancing. raj wanted mukesh 4 the play back but songs having punjabi touch suited on rafi & not mukesh. o p n even said he wll better quit than compromising 4 mukesh & raj had 2 eat a humble pie. if we listen the songs how butifuly these hv bn sung y rafi & suited very much on raj. even manadey, talat voices suited very much on raj. raj typed him only 4 mukesh, not a good decision.

  • Mohd rafi songs donot suit raj kapoor at all.only mukesh can complement with raj kapoor.

  • Respected Sir,

I am wondering the song of the Film Godaan the song is Amvaa ke deshva me aayo re sandeshva ke chal aaj deshva ke oaur. i am also a very great fan of Rafi saab and very grateful to you.

Thanks to you in advance. Sikandar Ali

  • pleasing isnt it

  • Rafi,Talat and Manna sang for Raj kapoor. It was after Mukesh and Raj became close friends that Raj chose Mukesh as his voice. Raj himself was a good singer and Lataji once pleaded with raj to sing a duet with her,but Raj did not, because He did not want part with Muskesh even for a single song. Later Shanker -Jaikishan tried their best to change to Rafi in RK Films. Mukesh's voice had a different touch and that was his speciality,we need variety, let not a single singer sing all the songs.

  • hey r u freeee from life, for writing such a long comments,,,,,

  • Mukesh was raj kapoor's voice but we have to agree Mukesh was not classical trained (this does not say that mukesh wasn't good) so it seems very obvious that Rafi Sahab who is The best trained singer ever sang for Raj kapoor, i always thought that if mukesh could not sing a song Manna dey was next to try..

  • any1 have lyrics very nice song

  • it is nice, thanks for adding.

  • Wow Rafi Sahab for Raj Kapoor, this is a surprise and a treat.

  • The actor is very cute and the behavior is sort of an imitation of western cinema back when acting silly to the nth degree was the trend. I think the Indians did it better, though.

  • is that great Nargis ?

  • yes it is
