@kingdavey16 I don't think you'd need a waiver for poor grades because all they'd care about is if you had a high school diploma. You'd go to MEPS, take the ASVAB and if you score high enough to qualify for nukes and they have an opening for it then you should be able to get it.
Well actually I went through MEPS, took the ASVAB, and now I'm in DEP. I missed auto-qualifying for nuke by only one point and so I took another test based on physics and trigonometry and luckily I got into the program. Also when you go to the PX which is like a Troop Walmart. After Basic you have about $5,000 in the bank but when you hit AIT (Advanced Individual Training) you quickly lose that money, because you are free to use your money as you wish.

I got my PC Quals, Fuel Cell Entrant, All your SE Licenses and went on DET right away. I was supposed to get out of TAD after 6 months but made it out in 4 because I got all my quals. Got a NAM 8 months in the navy and got CAP'd to E-4 in a little over a year. I got out in 07 as an E-6, made E-6 in 4 years now I am in the reserves and work for Comcast and go to school

im in the army and they are not really giving out signing bonuses anymore because they dont need soldiers as muchas they did. And lets say you did get a signin bonus for like $20,000 and you enlisted for 4 years then you would get 5 grand every year
As far as BAH goes, this varies by command, but as an E-4 you cannot get single BAH until your 4 year mark, or E-5 and above. If you are married you can draw dependent BAH regardless of rank.
If you can test possitive for thc than most recruiters will buy detox for you, as for being sent overseas you will need to be careful about avoiding any drug test or atleast know how to manipulate your urine after you have pissed, I smoked for seven years before I joined and stopped for my entire enlistment however I did teach friends in the military how to avoid or atleast pass there drug test and honestly of all the people I know in the military the exstoners are the only ones I trusted
the "Navy boot camp NEW" videos by Darthsteven4 - seems as though they dont make Navy BCT as intense as Army BCT. It does look challenging physically though. I heard you can volunteer to be trained to support the Army - combat training, etc. It sounds like the Navy is less combat oriented - no disrespect or downplay - what are your thoughts and have you been deployed to Iraq or Afg?
They train with different goals is mind, but the navy does have combat jobs (SEALs, SWCC, SeaBees, FMF Corpsman) where training gets much more intense after boot. You just have to keep in mind that this is "basic training", it just shows you how to be a sailor, not how to do your job.

In 1988, I went through bootcamp in San Digo. My pay as an E-1 was two hundred dollars every two weeks. I was broke an hour after I got paided. It is a good thing they feed me.

I had $2,500 after bootcamp with the deductions for gear issue. P.S. Bo one uses that fukkin' uniform allowance! LOL P.S.S. the galley is NOT free! You pay for the food regardless if you eat there or not.

hey man my recruiter pretty much told me to lie about my asthma from when i was little. what are the chances of them finding out about it? It hasn't bothered me at all since then, i am wanting to try for SEALs. I can swim like a mofo too state record for 100yd free 2 years. but if i dont make it through BUD/s then what are my chances of getting my second choice (NUKE)

Dude, no offense, but please do not post videos about the Military when you don't know what the hell you are talking about. BAS is Basic Allowance for Sustainance, BAH is dependent on where you are living, in LA you make a whole lot more than in Cheyenne Wy. Wait until you have been in for atleast 4-6 years and have re-enlisted before you try and act like you know ANYTHING about the military.

im in the army and they are not really giving out signing bonuses anymore because they dont need soldiers as muchas they did. And lets say you did get a signin bonus for like $20,000 and you enlisted for 4 years then you would get 5 grand every year

I think the single BAH is usually meant for 2nd class and up (E-5) the NCO rank for almost all military branches.

As far as BAH goes, this varies by command, but as an E-4 you cannot get single BAH until your 4 year mark, or E-5 and above. If you are married you can draw dependent BAH regardless of rank.

If you can test possitive for thc than most recruiters will buy detox for you, as for being sent overseas you will need to be careful about avoiding any drug test or atleast know how to manipulate your urine after you have pissed, I smoked for seven years before I joined and stopped for my entire enlistment however I did teach friends in the military how to avoid or atleast pass there drug test and honestly of all the people I know in the military the exstoners are the only ones I trusted

the "Navy boot camp NEW" videos by Darthsteven4 - seems as though they dont make Navy BCT as intense as Army BCT. It does look challenging physically though. I heard you can volunteer to be trained to support the Army - combat training, etc. It sounds like the Navy is less combat oriented - no disrespect or downplay - what are your thoughts and have you been deployed to Iraq or Afg?

They train with different goals is mind, but the navy does have combat jobs (SEALs, SWCC, SeaBees, FMF Corpsman) where training gets much more intense after boot. You just have to keep in mind that this is "basic training", it just shows you how to be a sailor, not how to do your job.

no lie test, but there's this thing called the moment of truth at boot camp that happens when you get there. basically they round every recruit up in a room and give them an ultimatum saying that if you lied about ANYTHING to get here, they will find out and you will be out of the navy. it's just a psychological dealy to get you to confess to anything. BUT DON'T.
