  • wtf?

  • watch?v=1lNi9ZKO_0g

  • it's too high energy to be reggae. but it is good.

  • more like ska, funk, punk reggae

  • Idk if any of these guys have ever listened to any of the CALI REGGAE bands out there... HAHAHA good stuff broham

  • Dont listen to these queers, This style is the Reggae Roots style, Listen to Rebelution&Iration. Drumming is similar in style and beats. I play the same style, My Biggest influence on drumming is Wesley Finley of Rebelution. Its not the 3rd beat or One Drop Beat or whatever you call it. Its a Mix of Reggae/Rock/Jazz/Fusion and some Hip Hop. New style and personally it's fucking dope. And more fun to jam too. The only thing i hate is it makes my wrist hurt! Keep it up dude!

  • More funk than reggae.

  • negative on the reggae, dub maybe, reggae no

  • dont make me loose my time asshole

  • "California Reggae"...People don't understand that it's different. Hey guys, ever heard of Sublime? Slightly Stoopid? California reggae right there.

    Good playin man.

  • no por llevar al principio el bombo en negras sin descanzo será dancehall.. no tiene nada de reggae.. definitivamente no es reggae

  • not raggaee

  • Not a great speller.

  • not a great drummer

  • @stothepizzle haha do your thing man

  • @kiddfranchize

This is cali reggae. Cali Reggae drumming is rooted off from the one drop beat but added Jazz/Rock/Fusion well playing. Also some Hip Hop. I play Cali Reggae also, and i learned from the drummer of Rebelution and Iration. But Cali Reggae is way different than Jamican Reggae. Cali Reggae is more of the Beach Scene. It was more rock and indie put into it.

But good job brah, Sounds clean.

  • @stothepizzle ROFL

  • @kiddfranchize this is cali reggae dude, learn your shit.

  • @kiddfranchize is more on the edge of Reggae and comtemporary rock

  • @kiddfranchize not smart

  • this is california reggae for sure of course rock added in as well good drumming nice timbale usage i guess people who dont live in cali just dont understand

    STAY IRIE!

  • awesome

  • you got other cymbals then that crash on the left.please use them

  • this is the way california drumming is..all over the place with no feel or backbeat....less is more does not compute with this guy..down tune a bit from absolute snapping the heads to the shells natural tone might help..

  • This is rock

  • lame

  • Nice! Very nice set. Very nice drumming!

  • Nice Long Beach, California, Sublime drumming!!! :P

    Great job men! Keep practicing!

    Respect

  • thanks

  • Timbale.

  • oh my god we need to jam

  • a bit too busy

  • that a custom.... is how big is that. is that a splash?

  • timbales?:)

  • Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding...you are correct sir. Pearl Timbale floating off of a cymbal stand.

  • picolo tom

  • whats the snare drum sounding thing on the left?

  • dat nuh reggae drums, mahn. originally the basedrum is mentioned only the 3rd hit, as the snare does. hopefully helpfull. bless

keep it up man lovin it

    -jimbo

  • thats kul mon....but jah say its not reggae mon

  • i meant to say plz tell me what the snare on the far right is

  • Pearl Timbale...

  • can someone plz tell me what the snare on the far right is

  • whats the side snare ?

  • easy formula for a ragga jam: bass on one and three, snare on three, with an optional ghost note on the and of 4. usptrokes on 2 and 4 on the keys or git box. some decent drummin here tho, just slow it down and feel it out a little more, but definate potential.

  • Sorry about the generic title...how about California Dub Stylee!

  • hell ya! no but this is actually what a lot of new roots sounds like.

  • HELL YEAHHH BROTHA!

  • Reggae!?

  • where's the reggae????

  • Thats some reggae beats I have never heard before. The reggae i know is much different.

  • very good played.. but.. that is not reggae untill in the end.. in the start you are playing funk.. just with a reggae setup.. if you would play reggae try with a lot of one drops instead of all that fills..

  • nittyranks... don't hate.

  • Too many fills kick is in the wrong place to.

  • if you're going to say "it's wrong" be more specific. because that will just make you look stupid. sure, he plays way too straight, and it makes it sound like bad rock, but... he's learning.

  • Iv set up a steel snare with no bottom skin like that. Cool. Playing with a conga there and a stick in the right hand and left on the conga can sound great too. Clave type stuff. Its hard not to over-play it when it is so close. Ya done good man. Sum real nice groovin deah.

  • why is everybody saying this is not reggae?? wtf are they talkin bout this is regae..

  • Too drummy to be reggae!!

  • sounds real good

  • very good but that is not reggae

  • Thanks, but reggae is a generic term that can be applied to a multitude of sounds, from dancehall to roots; one-drop to dub...this is more of a California stylee...

  • not quite reggae is it. still very good

  • More of your California type Reggae...

  • what's the equipment here?

  • nice!!!
