How i feel about art:

1.A way to express yourself without responsibility of sociaty.

2.Trying to liberate urself from ur own mind perfection.

3.Dream out loud.

4.The enjoyment of making something unique.Everybody can have the same feeling but express it in diffrent ways.

5.Art is a never ending story...because life on earth IS a never ending story.

6,7,8 ,9,10,...yeah..have a little humour also,without it, art would be dull anyways..!!

Humour is alway in my art, and usually in the art I enjoy... well at least what I'd hang in my house.

I think without humour we all end up slitting our wrists!

well one way to start is just to sit down and write the first 10 things that come to mind when someone says ART , don't edit yourself in your first pass. My first pass ( YES I promise I am making mine!) said things like "I like art" which changed later to "I like art other people thing is stupid" and then progressed from there.

ha ha ha eyah you'll notice I still don't have MINE UP!! For me I have dilute it down from 25 which was the original number... 10 seemed more reasonable.

Shawn Marie's 10 - part I

1. I was born to be an artist but didn't consider myself an artist until I was 32.

2. Biggest early inspiration: Alfred Stieglitz, Georgia O'Keefe, surrealists.

3. Art is as frustrating as it is satisfying. I constantly have ideas flying through my brain faster than I can start them.

4. I have a terrible fear of the blank page.

5. I cry when I go to art museums & sometimes I have panic attacks.

6. I see art in everything I look at-even the Chinese food I just ate.

7. If I am not creating something I feel unwell.

8. I do not believe there are rules in art - I especially ignore the rules of composition.

9. I have a disdain for anything Thomas Kinckaid-ish.

10. One of the best books I ever read was Growing Pains, by Emily Carr.

Well I'm putting no time limit on this so when time allows GO FOR IT!

I'm thinking of gathering the top 5 each month ( HA HA HA hows that for positive thinking???!) and posting the ones that mean the most to me on my blog

Pat Griffith: 1- art is healing helps children & adults with health issues 2- self helps build self confidence 3- art helps the thought process 4- art sharpens your senses 5- art projects can involve math English & communication skills. 6- art improves our environment 7- art can be a doodle & funny 8- art can be a massive sculpture & be a huge statement. 9-art can be a photo & very personal 10- art is an important part of our everyday life that we don't realize, many just take it for granted.

Thankx so much. You know too that I have a tendency to get behind on some stuff (think portriats here) but sooner or later I do get it done. ;) Anyway: My thinkg is with the video camera. I don't have one. But thanks for the offer. I might do a slide show and put it up as a vid. We'll see how that goes.
