  • This is not from 1937. This is from a 1927 a symphony zeigfeild like show, look at the cars and the people they are wearing late 20's attire and the cars are from the 1920s also.

  • What's this - - - ? TRubbish! 'Cause the movie belong's mainly to the typical "weimar-republic" experimental work of Walter Ruttmann: "Berlin - Die Symphonie der Großstadt" 1927 (sic!- - - ! See "Charleston Flappers" by the way)!

The Soundtrack here (from 1943!) was "re-mixed": the original never (!) had a vocal; it was "re-constructed" by non-historian Oliver Axer of Berlin (known from his ZDF-"documentary" named "Hitler's Hit-Parade", just a type of clumpsy desinformation)! So: Sorry!!!

  • I love the part at .32 where some bar fly puts his hand on the girls face and she wipes his touch off her face.

  • does anyone know the words to this song? Are they pro NSDAP?

  • @CaptainContent not at all, it´s just about stars in the eyes and a golden shine, presumably from a night out on the town, pretty run of the mill song, not political at all.

  • The clip is from the 1927 film Berlin: Symphonie des Weltstadt... great clip though

  • Great clip! ... Sharp comments ... Funny how the 'Weisse Wochen', the 'White Weeks' (the post-holidays sales period, when especially linen and other 'white' cloth items went on sale), made it into this collage about Berlin's nightlife ... Anyway ... The tune in the background is Willy Berking and his orchestra with "Ein Stern ist vom Himmel gefallen ' (a star fell out of the sky) ... cheers, Julia from Florida
