We've weakened or destroyed most allies we could have had against the uesogi, and in the process have allowed them to gain another big chunk of the continent... it's now time to face them! lol
I've been watching your Total War vids for a little while now (just discovered them a few days ago) and I have to say that they are the best, most complete, high quality TW let's plays I have seen thus far anywhere. I think I read in one of the previous posts that you like Rome: TW best? Have you ever tried the Rome: Total Realism mod for that game?
@buckwheat219970 Yes I have, it was a very in depth and enjoyable mod. I never got round to finishing it though, mainly due to the slower pace of the game.
I'm playing this in my mind. Now that your only allies are just to damn powerful, you should use them to aid you in war. You should start targeting strategic points to you with the aid of course of your damn powerful allies and their ridiculously ever increasing power or imo you would be too weak to stand to them in the final.
Your allies would not stop increasing their power so you should take part of what they will eventually take and use them to your advantage.
Indeed getting as many clans on side to deal with them would be a good plan....but on the other hand the more clans attacking them means less land for him to take in the war...So realy its a choice of an easyish war for less reward or a hard long war which could end up you being the new super clan.
I think you should attack the yammanuchi and use your monk on some uesegi lands and insight revolt sorry about fail spelling I can't see how to spell it while I'm on my IPhone
I think you should create an army and invade Kyushu. There you can get some trade with Korea. That can increase your economy to fight against the Uesugi.
I'd say go and attack the Uesugi at Kai, Suruga and South Shiano with blitz krieg style (in other words strike hard and fast). That would shake them up, then have your monk in Hitachi to start a revolt and kick the the Date out. Thats what I would do.
Start a good alliance with the Uesugi and give something so your relationship will go on VERY FRIENDLY, after that declare ware on the Date take back Hitache and help Uesugi and destroy the Date. Date will not attack you before attacking the Uesugi. or go for more alliances with clans in the West.
Declare war on the Uesugi AS SOON AS YOU GET close with a large army on a well protected fleet, go to the central of the clan and eat from the inside...
Okay 1st, send trade ships to those trade icons, they helped me save my economy in my campaigns
2nd, put all your armies that will be used in invasions on the borderline so they can get to their targets faster
3rd, attacking the Date's region directly north of your new territory and the Uesugi's vassal with the army in shimosa by splitting it in 2. Let the majority of the army in sagami worry about Kia and maybe three or four ashigaru take Suruga.
have you hit real divide if you have`t then realm divide is when the current shogun tell all the clan to go to war with you to put it in a nutshell. all county will reaman hostile until take out the shogun and make your clan shogun.
Like the vids keep them up. Also can u do a campain on civ 5
attack yamanouchi, wipe them out, and then take hitachi, this should drive the date back enough for you to lock horns with the Uesugi at Kai and hopefully take it, and if south shimano isn't heavily garrisoned, march your army with your daimyo at it's head and take that, ask the Hattori for help and all should go swimmingly
Attack the yamanouchi first, as other people say, it may not lead to a full on war with all 3. Use your eastern army to take on the yamanouchi, with the central army, take Kai from the Eusugi first to hold the pass then break off a small force to take Suruga and secure your rear. Then youll have 3 armies with 3 paths of attack against the Eusugi, from the west, up the centre and from the east. And if the Date decide to join in, you still have a strong army on that flank to hold the line.
take suruga, kai, and south shinano in one turn so that the uesugi only has 3 ways routes to attack you, through kai south shinano and through the date
@HannibleBonaparte I thought about this and the Date might not join the war right away, but there are big chances that they might do it after a turn or two. But the Date have only one settlement near the Tokugawa lands so Damo should make a small garrison to counter any attack from the Date troops garrisoned in Hitachi. I don't know what kind of troops they have but they are not many so it shouldn't be such a big problem. A big problem might be the sea war, but I'm not that good at this :|.
@damo2986 attack the yamanouchi. That will bring in the Uesugi into the war, BUT will NOT bring the Date in. If you attack UEsugi, all three will join in. Take the army in Shimosa (or part of it) to Musashi, which will begin the war with the Uesugi. Take the garrison from the province just west of Suruga to take Suruga and march the army in Sagqmi through to Kai. Take the army in the northwest to South Shinano. In a matter of two turns you will have taken at least 4 enemy territories.
Position your armies so you have one on the uesegis north and west borders! Then attack their vassals. If they join the war! Close in from all sides! If not, finish the war and then kill off the uesegi and cause the realm divide
So... I have thought about this and my opinion is this: Attack the Yamanouchi. In this case the Uesugi will surely go to war with their vassals but there is a small chance that the Date might not join the war just now. So I think you should attack Musashi first and then attack Suruga and North Shinano hoping that the Date will just stay there and enjoy the show. This strategy may be risky but if it works it will end the war kinda quick. Great videos as always!
Where have the guns and gunpowder gone??
