  • Sorry but what he says at 0:58 is wrong! Tchaykowski did not take Anton's Rubinstein's piano concertos, "chromaticized and Russianized them and it became ofcourse the 1st piano concerto". The truth is that Tchaykowsky wrote the concerto and it it was the brother of Anton Rubinstein (Nikolay) who, after at first despising it, revised it pianistically and greatly contributed to the composition we know today.
