Good music is works of art that has personality, originality, and emotion. It's not about how "sick" of a breakdown you can play (as if there is skill involved in doing that), or how good someone can "shred" at guitar, It's not about "dgaf", or how cool the guy on stage is dressed. It's about the message. There is nothing wrong with listening to meaningless or thoughtless "music". But people need to stop pretending it's music when it should be called something entirely different.

@thefallingdream wow. cool i'm not alone. i really don't care how well he sings it live. as long as the point is getting across. the vocal melodies on the albums are great so i already know what he's trying to do. but he doesn't always sound bad live. but like i said, it's what he's saying that matters most to me. it's the poetry coming from his mouth. it's the meaning behind the words. powerful stuff.

Honestly dude, I can see why people would be turned off by Fear Before. It's really hard to get into unless you're musical tastes lead you into them.
Even for me when Always Open Mouth came out, it took a good amount of listens to TRULY enjoy it. I LOVE this band a lot, great great inspiration, but they're definitely an acquired taste. For sure, dude.

Honestly dude, I can see why people would be turned off by Fear Before. It's really hard to get into unless you're musical tastes lead you into them.
Even for me when Always Open Mouth came out, it took a good amount of listens to TRULY enjoy it. I LOVE this band a lot, great great inspiration, but they're definitely an acquired taste. For sure, dude.

he started walking around lastnight in the "pit" or there lackof and looked like he was fucked up out of his face and then after he ran up to the bar and crawled the whole length of it. I think I was the only person for them since it went form about 120 people to about 40. I felt bad for them :(.

i'm not sure where you got your definition of grindcore from but i do know that you seem to know pretty much nothing about music based on your comment. grindcore is mostly characterized by extremely fast tempos accompanied by blast beats and shrieking or growling vocals. fear before has never been grindcore, but this new album of theirs isn't even close. go listen to a real grindcore band like see you next tuesday and then come back and tell me this music resembles that.

Dude... Carcass was like the pioneers of grindcore and Fear Before has NEVER sounded like them. Fear Before was mathcore with punk influence in there old days, now they're trippy experimental, ambient, prog. rock.
I've never heard grindcore sound like this
and what's been characterized as grindcore sounds nothing like this. I mean Beneath the Massacre is brutal hyper tech death, not even grind. Look at Destroyer Destroyer or See You Next Tuesday. They're the more spastic side of grind though.
