@TheMostFamousChannel it definetly is not fake, there is no hole in the tail other than the engine exhaust. there are military markings on the vertical stabilizer. Ground effect should not be a problem at 100 feet or more. The video is not tampered with.
We live about 6 miles from a regional airport with a cargo 727 based on the field......you can always tell when that airplane takes off at night. Those deep-throated old engines can't be confused with anything else. :)
Boeing has been making aircraft since 1916. the 707 was their first successful commercial jet. the 727 in this clip was one of their subsequent designs.
Yes, and the first two Boeings ever built were here in NZ, bi floatplanes, owned by Walsh Bros Flying School in 1918. Rumour is they could be buried in Takapuna Hills. 1968, NZ buys its first Boeing in 50 years, when we become the first country outside USA or Europe to buy a 737. Good vid. I saw this 727 at do the same at Wanaka Easter 2002, one is now stored at Blenhiem for training, hopefully to be preserved eventually. And we should save the remaining early ex NAC 737-200derilect in USA!
Wonder what 911 conspiracy whackos have to say about this, when they say a commercial aircraft cant fly this fast at this low of an altitude..I know it is a military plane, but it is still a 727. The announcer say 390 knots which I figure to be about 450 mph.
Triple, I had a roommate thats a pilot for continental, he was a bit older than me and had been flying for many years... we used to discuss what these air craft were capable of years before 911 happened and commercial aircraft are fully capable of doing everything they did on 911 and then some. Suggest you check out 707 doing a complete roll on YT.Far as the speed calculation, I did what 911 nuts don't do and used logic and factual information available my fingertips to calculate knots into MPH.
It's unfortunate that the three-holer had to go, but it was for good reasons - listen to the noise it makes, and see the amount of black smoke it belches out! It's still sad, tho...
No. You must be joking. Believe me it really is a Boeing 727. One of two operated by the New Zealand Air force (RNZAF) and this was it's last public display before being replaced by leased B757s.
I confirm. I know what a Yak looks like - similar config but this is a 727 - tell tale signs include the window configuration and size of the engines, fuselage width, tail fin and everything else.
That was no doubt, extremely kewl. I've always wanted to see this but I live in the USA and I don't believe the FAA would allow it. I've never seen them do this at an airshow here.
You are a dumb ass!! DC-10's dont have the elevator on top of the vertical stabilizer and they dont have two engines in the back of the fuselage...they are under the wings..do your research.
lol look at that jet exhaust

@GOASTRC Some people appreciate information at airshows. In reality, the 727 would have sounded a fuckload louder to those in the vicinity.
