He was great at the Stagecoach Ballroom in Fort Worth June 26th. His singing of "Cold, Cold Hands" was as good as it gets. Really great singer, and a very nice guy.

My uncle has been telling me about Jake for a while and when I finally sat down and listened, I was blown away. Jake carries on the texas honky tonk tradition better than anyone around and I can't wait to see him perform in person. Willie's Place on Satellite radio plays him quite regularly so tune into that if you have it. They play many good artists you don't hear on the radio.

His 2002 live CD's receives perpetual play in my truck. Outstanding, but only available thru Southland records. The studio CD's are also great; get them at Startex Records.

Jake Hooker, in my opinion he's the purest traditional country music singer under 50 years old. All I want to listen to is Jake. I never get tired of having my cd player loaded with nothing but Jake. I just wished he played up in North Central Texas so I could go see him.
