Loved this fight, first saw it on a Best of Martial Arts compilation on video, presented by John Saxon, many years ago, which started me on the path to watching Jackie Chan movies as well as others. I did notice the music for the fight in the actual WOM film was a slower version than used in the compilation video (which i really liked) and now i find another diff version in this clip, but this clip is nearer to the compilation video than the film...

Benny was the real tournament fighter, but even he is not used to movie fight scenes where full contact is required. Benny was heavily padded in the mid-section so he appears fat. Jackie is not padded, but as a stuntman he can take the hits. Benny could be injured and that can be costly.

@MrCman404 Helly yeah man I ripped the entire soundtrack off of youtube and was able to find this movie with the original soundtrack on Amazon. The DVD transfer isn't great but i's good enough to enjoy. I hope they start transferring all of the movies Sammo Hung directed to legit DVD releases here in the States. The mans work is classic and he made Jackie Chan best on screen fights just like this one.

@therealKINDLE i agree with you but legend of drunken master used too much wirework which is ok by me.and the kicking from ken lo is some of the best kicking i've ever seen.this fight however,had a more realistic feel to it.it was fast,hard and brutal sans the wirework. to me both movies are the best.

@Chepito2846 No No Not "Legend of Drunken Master". THEE "Drunken Master" from back in 78'. After his Debut Snake in the Eagle's Shadow put him on the Map, he & the same Villan did an even better version & called it Druken Master. Although it's not as long as the INCREDIBLE fight at the end of "The Fearless Hyena", which is about 15mins long, It's just so much more authentic due to the 70/30% Legs/Arms fighter Hwang Jang Lee who in fact killed a man with one kick in real life. Check it out man.

@Chepito2846 You're right! It IS Good! But the rest of the film is just boring padding. It's no Good if you Spend all the Shooting Time Filming the Longest Fight Sequence if the rest of the Film is just WACK! I have that on DVD also. So many of Jackie's Films are like that tho. Boring til the end.

But Drunken Master isn't one of them! It's THAT good! All the way through!

IF you like Good Action, I Take it you've watched Ong Bak? And Warrior King? They are amazing!! Shame he's a Monk now tho.
